What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

My favorite part of ThoughtSpot is that it updates at set intervals to ensure we always have the most recent data (our companies threshold is every 4 hours) available and ready to analyze at the drop of a dime. I love that I can work with our IT Department as needed to make updates and change specific categories based on how I need to analyze and present the data, but my absolute favorite part is the intuitive and straightforward dashboard that ThoughtSpot has put together. At first it seemed a little overwhelming, but once I received a brief training on how to create, modify, and run reports it became clear just how powerful this software is. I appreciate that I can create my own pin-boards that contain my custom made reports that I run on a scheduled basis and it also allows me to share any of my previously made reports, or entire pin-board for that matter. With the click of a button I can provide access to my peers so they can review and utilize my report as needed. I can't say it enough, but their reporting system is absolutely amazing; if you can think of a way to organize your data, then you can do it. I appreciate the default data visualizations they provide you in your home dashboard after initially logging in and the best part is they are fully customizable. My favorite aspect however is how easy it is to export reports into CSV/Excel files so that you can take the reports a step further and complete additional analysis and manipulation as needed. What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

I love ThoughtSpot Analytics, but I will admit that the initial learning curve can be somewhat overwhelming until you take the time to sit down and learn how to properly use it, but the interface is extremely user-friendly so it is important to take your time. The only downfall that I dislike is that you need a strong IT Department that understands how to code to properly setup and assign data points (especially if they are being mined from another program) to ensure they properly routed/identified in the reporting dashboard so you can manipulate the data accurately. What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company uses ThoughtSpot as it's main analytical tool that is connected to another internal system we use to mine and track data from the productivity of our employees. It has allowed us to essentially connect more than 250 clients across the country that use different RCM systems and compile all the data into one area allowing us to create ad-hoc reports. It has helped us increase not only our productivity in all departments, but it allows us to filter and report on all this centralized data we generate on a daily basis. It has completed revolutionized how we analyze and report on our clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

I like the way our team gets the data we need without a data expert. ThoughtSpot’s search function makes it easy to just type in a question and get answers right away. No complex querys and no waiting. It saves us so much time.

Another thing I like is how easily it connects to different data sources. We set it up with our existing systems without any problems, and it updates in real time. So we always have the latest data.

The built-in AI is also a big plus. It helps find insights we might not have thought to look for

Their support team is also great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

It takes a little getting used to. especially if you’re used to traditional BI tools like Tableau. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used to waste so much time waiting for reports or trying to write big querys just to get the data I needed. If I needed something quickly, I had to ask the data team. It wasn’t always an option. It slowed everything down and made decision-making harder.

With ThoughtSpot, that problem is gone. Now, I can just type in a question and get answers immediatley. I don’t have to depend on anyone else or spend hours figuring out querys. It’s made my work so much faster and easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

We wanted to add analytics to our app without making it difficult. ThoughtSpot’s embedding feature made that easy. Now, our users can search their data directly inside our product, just like they would in Google.

The setup was faster than we expected and we didn’t need our dev team to get it working. It connects well with our existing data sources and updates in real time, so users always see fresh insights.

Another thing I like is how ThoughtSpot’s AI suggests questions and insights. It helps our users find trends they might not have thought to look for.

Their support team has also been really helpful whenever we needed guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

It’s fast and easy to use, but sometimes we run into minor limitations that require extra steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before ThoughtSpot, we struggled with making data accessible to our customers. We had reports, but they weren’t interactive, our users had to wait for updates.

Now, our customers can ask their questions and get answers instantly. They don’t have to wait on pre-built dashboards or wait for someone to pull data for them. It’s made our product much more valuable and improved customer satisfaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

ThoughtSpot is the most user-friendly BI platform I've used. As with all BI platforms there's some setup and architecture considerations to consider and roll out, but once in place it's intuitive and far easier to navigate than competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

ThoughtSpot is paving the way forward in business intelligence, with a focus on search and natural language integration that allows you to dive deeply into your data without always having to rely on a data scientist to write queries every step of the way. Getting your instance set up requires some lift in terms of structuring your data set, but once in place it allows decision-makers (aka non-data scientists) to interact with and drill deeply into datasets to find insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Current generation BI platforms require going back to the platform manager to rewrite queries in SQL or other languages to dig into the data, while ThoughtSpot uses AI to write and communicate the intent behind SQL queries, allowing the user to write them in natural language while the system handles the coding. (Original )Information
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

In my opinion, the most fundamental aspect is the ease of use of the platform. Unlike many other platforms, this one allows those who are less data-oriented to be able to quickly create and customize dashboards (or ‘liveboards’, as they are referred to in ThoughtSpot), enabling the usage of the platform more frequently. In this way, we are able to target a wider market and make it more convenient to sell our product by using ThoughtSpot instead of other platforms.

Further, we also want to thank ThoughtSpot for their assistance. Many people we communicate with are active and engaged on our questions, which allows focusing on specific persons in order to receive assistance.

On top of that, we could integrate ThoughtSpot into our platform without any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

There is only one thing that I do not like much about ThoughtSpot. It is that things that clearly are software bugs take too long to get resolved. We feel that bugs should be given top priority and at times wonder whether that is really the case at ThoughtSpot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?

ThoughtSpot makes it possible to thrive entire organizations to work with data, not just by people who work in a data-driven way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

I have used a lot of business intelligence tools over my career, and ThoughtSpot by far is the easiest to use and get real answers from our data quicker than other platforms. Plus, the support team has been great when answering my questins. It was easy to implement and roll out to our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

My only complaint is the inability for a month vs month comparison to dynamically change based on the selected date, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?

For the longest time our reporting was a very manual process, taking almost 2 weeks at a time to do for every client. Now with ThoughtSpot our clients can see all the data that we can see and our team is able to look at the data quickly and make stragetic adjustments much faster. What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
