- It's better than Excel.
- Gurock forum where I could be sure that I'm not the only one looking for a new tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Support. I am in the other timezone from support, so I write them on my workday, they answer me at night. So, we have a conversation for several days.
- Support never tells the dates to fix their bugs. Never. And all the people who have the issue never know if it will be fixed.
- Gurock doesn't mind if it's users have some bugs. They released a feature that broke screenshots pasting and said that they don't see this problem. Then they saw the issue and got it from many other users. It is the high-priority bug that affected our work as testers. However, they made two releases without bugfix.
- They have critical bugs and don't fix them. That screenshot bug they were fixing for two months. All this time, every team was complaining in their blog.
- They do it again. Now I'm changing the instrument. Because there is another issue with screenshot inserting, if you don't believe it, take a look at their blog https://discuss.gurock.com/t/announcing-testrail-7-1-with-attachment-management-improvements/17670/142.
- They are increasing their price because they did an important and challenging job. Do you think this is sarcasm? No, that's what they wrote in the last letter.
- Reports. You will never know how many test-runs did your tester. You can just list it and count yourself.
- Integration. For monthes we tried to integrate with youtrack. It's impossible partly because of bugs, partly because of the lack of documentation (it tells to place an id but youtrack has plenty ids and none of them is accepted). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

-Works well for what it needs to do, works well for our process in terms of manual test case tracking as well as integrating with our automation tests.
-Relatively easy to set up, I was able to get the setup done following the documentation.
-Customizable to many processes and process changes by adding or removing any set of custom fields of your choosing.
-Defect integration/template with JIRA is good, allows for us to efficiently create bug tickets during test execution.
-Integral part of our testing process, we use this daily to create/track tests and execution results to share them with all stakeholders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-Support does not resolve any issues - if something ends up breaking, it will remain broken unless your instance is upgraded to a version that has some fix for your specific fix randomly over time. I've had an ongoing issue now where custom fields for JIRA do not show their field labels on the Testrail push defect template. It was fine in the initial setup and randomly broke one day. I've had back and forth with customer support for over 6 months with no resolution.
-Random Scheduled Maintenance during working hours - we had scheduled maintenance appear for our instance at 2 PM, this caused major setbacks for our project. I reached out to support to see if we could ensure our instance does NOT get scheduled maintenance during standard working hours in our timezone, but did not get a response. Ease of use, the learning curve is actually very fast, a junior tester was able to learn how to use it in less than a week, the system implemented my test project too quickly, customer service is good although it could be better with faster speeds in responses. I use it almost every day and can keep track of my testers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost is a little high for Latino groups, although they have discounts for a month's gift.
The way of making a payment can improve, I was struggling with a purchase order due to the little information on the English and Spanish language from the advisor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Most I like how it helps in managing testcases and test suite and how well it gets integrated with Automation and Jira. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There should be some kind of desktop version and user should be able to copy paste multiple steps at once Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ability to first connect with IndiraTechnologies, start an account, and then begin using in less than 10minutes, this is factual. I just tried to utilize it, and have only good words to say about this tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing as of yet, I will revisit this review when i've completed my 30-Day Mission! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TestRail allows the test engineers to well structure and organize their test cases using the folders and subfolders. It makes coverage visible and understandle for all stakeholders and it allows easier maintenance of these test cases.
Thanks to integration with JIRA and Confluence, it is easy to keep track of the requirement coverage.
We are using both the feature of Milestones plus submilestones and the TestPlans to assure the right selection of test cases for every test phase. Grouping related test cases in TestRuns it makes it easy to assign these to a test engineer and to define the environment parameters useful for that test execution. Using all these features makes it also much easier to generate the right and comprehensive reporting.
In our environment we use also some custom fields so that selection of the optimal test set is mostly a matter of indicating the right selection parameters (i.e. field values) in the query.
We use (and like) a lot the open API to upload execution results from different test automation tools and to download the relevant information to generate our custom reports.
Because of the web-interface TestRails can be used and consulted from nearly everywhere, whenever you want or need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although the selection query makes it relatively easy to define test sets for execution, I would like to see a possibility to copy test runs in TestPlans and/or Milestones.
Because we do not find a good report using the folder structure of the test cases to show the overal progress and result of the test execution, we had to use the API to make such reports (but once inplace this runs smoothly) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TestRail is an exceptional tool for test case management, and one of its standout features is its ability to efficiently track test failures. The platform provides a user-friendly interface that allows for easy organization and execution of test cases. When a test case fails, TestRail not only promptly highlights the failure but also provides detailed information on the specific failure points, making it incredibly convenient for debugging and resolving issues swiftly. The transparency it offers in terms of identifying and addressing failures enhances the overall efficiency of the testing process.
One of the key reasons I appreciate TestRail is its automated reporting feature. Every morning, I receive comprehensive reports via email, summarizing the test results and highlighting any failures or issues that need attention. This automated reporting not only saves time but also ensures that I start my day with a clear overview of the project's testing status. The concise and well-structured reports enable me to prioritize tasks, collaborate effectively with the team, and make informed decisions based on the testing outcomes. TestRail's combination of effective test tracking and automated reporting significantly contributes to a streamlined testing process, making it an invaluable tool for any quality assurance professional. There is nothing that i dislike, i totally recomend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the standout features of TestRail that I find truly commendable is its exceptional flexibility and adaptability. TestRail provides a highly customizable platform that caters to diverse testing needs and methodologies. Whether you're following Agile, Waterfall, or any hybrid approach, TestRail seamlessly integrates into your workflow, allowing you to tailor the tool to match your specific requirements.
The ability to create and organize test cases, suites, and plans in a way that mirrors your testing processes makes TestRail an invaluable asset. Its intuitive interface facilitates easy navigation, making it user-friendly for both seasoned testers and those new to the testing environment. This adaptability not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to a more streamlined and effective testing process.
Moreover, TestRail's robust reporting and analytics features elevate it to another level. The tool provides insightful and real-time metrics, enabling teams to make data-driven decisions. The detailed reports not only highlight testing progress but also pinpoint potential bottlenecks, allowing for proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
In essence, the versatility and user-centric design of TestRail make it a preferred choice for testing professionals, fostering a positive and productive testing environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While TestRail does offer integrations with popular tools like Jira, some users might find that the built-in integrations are not as extensive as they'd like. Depending on your tech stack, you may need to rely on APIs or third-party solutions to achieve certain integrations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The amount of options and customisation available in terms of field names and values. Integration with toosl such as GitLab and Jira are really good to see Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As test repository increases, it seems TestRail struggles with updating tests in test runs and the site slows down. There's a lot of times when you press Save it looks like nothing has happened or a server error will appear. After refreshing the page you might see you've duplicated results Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
