The upside of using TestOut and their products are that the support system is prompt. They listen and provide an convenient learning system that we as instructors are able to utilize online or in the classroom. Our students are able to gain the most up to date skills needed to succeed in their the chosen field.

On top of that, instructors are encouraged to enhance their own skills and increase their own knowledge base using the products that TestOut provides. TestOut offers a large variety of classes to choose from. I have been using TestOut in excess of 10 years and have always been successful without any major issues. Occassional false negative, when a question or lab was correct but marked as wrong. These were rare instances (less than 1% ) for the course, and once identified, quickly fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I went into the 20-21 school year teaching a class that I have never taught before. I also had to find a curriculum to go with the course. I looked at multiple courses but chose TestOut IT Fundamentals Pro and I am so glad I did. The foundation for the course is already done, pacing is complete and section quizzes. TestOut allows me to focus more on assessment data and planning vs figuring out what to teach. I dislike the fact that you cannot "lock" sections until you are ready to use them. If my students wanted to they could technically go backward and redo tests that would change their grade in TestOut, they could also work forward if they wanted to. It would be really beneficial if TestOut would create a way for teachers to "lock" sections after completion or until we're ready to use the. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've submitted to my professor 3x now screenshots demonstrating the labs that just are not recording my (correct) entries which should complete the lab. Step by Step, I show the instructions, and my completing the task. At the end, labsim doesn't record/ cannot "see"/ can't tell that I've done what is asked.

Also, the videos, which I presume are supposed to replace in class (actual) learning and education are well produced, and I like the presenters, but really fall short of what I imagine will be needed in an actual career. they do not prepare the student in a way that comes near to my own experience with a live human instructor. testOut makes it easy for me to pace my instruction and give independent lessons to my students. It truly has been a blessing to have it during virtual learning.
