What do you like best about TestFlight?

The ability to test apps from various developers and being able to test our own internal apps. You get a notification as soon as a new test build is available and you are told what to test. Plus you can set-up an email address so testers can email you about bugs or issues with your app. You can now also add groups to various tests so I can have one group testing one version of our app while another group tests another version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestFlight?

You are not told when a test is over or if a newer build is available for public release. Sometimes builds in the App Store are newer than the TestFlight builds because no new test builds were released. There are also no notifications before builds expire so developers know it's time to release a newer build or can end the test. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TestFlight:

Great way to test future builds of apps. A reminder you must sign-up with the developers in order to test builds. And if testing your own builds, you must publish TestFlight for the first time within iTunes Connect before they will appear and you must at least sign-up your own email address. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TestFlight solving and how is that benefiting you?

We test our own app within TestFlight before we release the app to the public. We recently updated for iPhone X and opened up to a small group who could sign-up to test our latest app before public release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestFlight?

Great integration with iTunes connect and apple developer connection. You can easily send updated of the App to users and it will automatically install them on the device. Testers can also send feedback through the app easily. You can also set a time limit on the pre-released app so when it comes time to release the production version user can switch over to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestFlight?

The removal of Android was a bit annoying when Apple bought them. This means that for our Android Apps we are having to use another product and can no longer keep them together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TestFlight:

Move to hockey app if you want Android support. But Apple have made it free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TestFlight solving and how is that benefiting you?

Providing pre-released builds for clients and testers. This can be useful also when needing to gather feedback on the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestFlight?

1 ) Test Flight allows classification of testers as internal or external testers.

2 ) Test Flight doesn't require the UDID of the devices in which the application is supposed to be installed. Test flight just need the email id of the testers for sharing the application build to them,

3 ) When an application build is shared to a tester, he/she would be receiving an email notification for the same.

4 ) We can distribute the build to a maximum of 1000 users at a time.

5 ) The installation of test flight application in a device is also very easy.

6 ) The testers can send their feedbacks back to the developers.

7 ) Test Flight also provides a crash log to the developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestFlight?

Before it was taken over by Apple, we were able to use it for both android and iOS application. And after Apple takes the ownership of Test flight, they limited test flight only for the iOS applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TestFlight:

And now, the test flight comes with the heavy brand name label "Apple".

So expect the same level of quality as in iOS devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TestFlight solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use test flight for sharing the build between the team mates as well as the customers.

The end to end users as well as the team mates test the build shared through test flight and figure out the issues before submitting the build to the app store. This helps us in preventing the issues being faced by the end to end users of the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestFlight?

I've worked on the product testing end of TestFlight and it was great to see our app actually work and be able to navigate as if it were live. Whenever an update was available, TestFlight would send you an e-mail alerting you so you could have the most up to date experience with the app you were developing. Because of the nature of the software, it just supported the app you were using and you didn't have to use it as a portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestFlight?

Was a difficult process of getting connected with our app and test flight. I remember having to sign up for a couple things and having to click though a lot of e-mails to access the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering TestFlight:

Good for app development Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is TestFlight solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were able to try the app and make improvements to it's navigation and service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
