The Best part of Talend is its refreshing UI and Interface, which is a lot better than the competing Informatica and Datastage. Talend Open Source community is always there to help out with issues. Switching between or replacing Data Sources with different Components is easy. You think of the task you wanna do, you spell it out and Talend has a component to do it. If you prefer to code and build some functionality, java makes it even easier.

TMC needs improvement. Compared to the TAC, TMC and log generation in TMC is quite lagging

Talend Open Studio is the user friendly tool for ETL processing of data from different sources to different target systems.

From my own experience I would like to share that the Talend had multiple features and the major feature I like is we can able to process data flow pipelines that we can understand easily and had rich set of components that are easily available for to process respective sources & target systems. Coming to dislike is I had faced issue in understanding the THap component which is hard to understand and do mapping the data.

It is easy to connect to different data sources and it is easy to write ETL queries. If don't see a component there, there is always java for custom needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the UI would go crazy and if you close the window and re open it, it would work again. Strange...
