What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?

The system-wide integration of client data, billing, accounting, etc., helps us track our finances and productivity very well. We tried other systems that integrated with Quickbooks, and we much prefer having everything under one software platform. Also, Tabs3 has the best customer support of any software company I have ever used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?

The way Tabs3 uses different modules adds some extra steps that seem unnecessary. To file a new case, you first have to write a check in the Payables module, post that check to the Billing module and the General Ledger, etc. I suspect there are reasons why they developed the product in different modules, but it seems a bit cumbersome at times. Like all software, there is a learning curve. I think things could be a little more intuitive if the backend integration was more seamless for the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

i don't like that you have to go to different things to see everything you needed to see before but the updated matter manager has helped a lot. also it would be helpful if the trust info would print on a wip report at the top instead of the last page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?

I love Tabs3 integration of accounts receivables and payables. This software makes the monthly and year end reports easy and less time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The least helpful feature is the time it takes to do the data file integrity checks and backups. This could be better with a faster processor. I would like for the 2023 version to have the speed of Platinum. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?

Case management, time and billing, and trust accounting are all seamlessly integrated (there are also other modules available that I don't use). It is especially handy to be able to add or change contact information for attorneys, courts, and other professionals, and have them available to and updated for all client files. I keep a maintenance contract and find the tech support people very helpful in solving any problems I may have. Hold times, if any, are short. I like the ability to talk to a real person in addition to being able to use the knowledge base articles. Monthly newsletters point out issues and features I may not have even been aware of. So even though I don't need or use many of the functions that are especially helpful for larger firms, the Tabs3 software is worth the price even for a solo with no staff. What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?

I do my document preparation in WordPerfect, not Word, so I don't really use t he document merge functionality in PracticeMaster. I started with STI as a solo practitioner decades ago, later had associates and paralegals, and am now back to being a solo. Many of the functions I don't need or use. This isn't really something I dislike, other than wishing a slimmed down (and cheaper) version were available. Note that pricing is based on the number of timekeepers, so I still pay less for having a 2 timekeeper license than a larger firm would pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?

The fast and easy ability to generate an invoice, edit the time entries and send to client. Also like the PracticeMaster ability to capture case and matter info in a single location Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?

Somewhat difficult to generate custom reports. Also would like to see a custom screen that resembles a timesheet for entering time electronically. Practicemaster also does not connect well with document management systems like NetDocuments and Worldox.
