What do you like best about SYNQ?

Synq has significantly streamlined how our team manages and collaborates on data issues across the organisation. It has become an essential part of our workflow by enabling us to quickly respond to, collaborate on, and resolve data issues before they escalate. In particular, its super easy to integrate granular level dbt test alerts and custom Synq monitors into Slack. The tool also empowers both technical and business stakeholders by providing full visibility into data lineage, including column level-lineage, from ingestion to dashboard.

The tool has easily saved us hours of time a week by reducing the volume of ad-hoc queries we recieve and improving the efficeny in which we respond to data incidents.

The team at Synq has been very responsive in developing new features and continually enhancing the tool. Their commitment to supporting us and ensuring we get the most out of the platform has been invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

While Synq has evolved significantly over the last few years, fully leveraging its improvements requires data teams to invest time in engaging with these updates, which may involve adjustments to existing workflows. To maximize the tool's potential, it's crucial for data teams to secure full buy-in from key stakeholders across the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

Synq has made a huge difference for us, really stepping up our data quality game and helping us get more out of dbt. It fit right into our existing pipelines without any issues. The support team has been fantastic—always ready to help and genuinely excited about data quality, which is something we care a lot about too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

Honestly, not much at all. It's rare to find a tool that fits so well into existing workflows and enhances them in such a significant way. So let it be the most complimentary review out there - it's deserved anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

Using Synq sped up my onboarding process, saving dozens of hours in understanding the dependencies of the most important models in my company. Furthermore, making significant changes isn't daunting anymore—I can easily check how my planned changes will impact the entire data pipeline, from transformations in dbt models to how the data is reported in our BI tool.

The Slack integration for error alerts is also crucial in maintaining high levels of data quality. With it, we can proactively address issues, often before stakeholders even notice them.

It's always a pleasure to interact with the Synq team, not only to discuss the product but also other data-related topics. It's evident they are committed to building a great product and staying at the forefront of data trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

Exploring the lineage of models with many dependencies can become overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

Synq offers a centralised place to monitor the data quality of your data sources, who owns them and provides a very nice alerting system when one of the set-up tests fails. My favourite feature is their "Data Products" where you can define a set of related assets that affect a single product (in our case, ML models).

It was super easy to set it up with Snowflake and DBT as our stack and the technical support from Synq has been amazing. The frequency at which they release features has also been impressive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

It gets a bit getting used to Synq's "vocabulary" so-to-speak which makes finding a given feature in their website a bit complex sometimes. However, I trust that they'll improve the UX in the future making it easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

- The data lineage feature is my personal favourite and something that I use very frequently since it simplifies a data structure that would otherwise take a very long time to dig through. It was exactly what we needed to speed up our workflows.

- The customer support is really great. We stay in touch very frequently and have very produtive chats about how to get the most out of the tool and what is currently being worked on. So we feel very heard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

Some features are still being worked on, so there is sometimes some waiting time. But it's usually quite quick and they always stay in touch regarding the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

One of the standout features for me is the alerting system for our data tests and monitors. The alerts are not only reliable but also seamlessly integrated with Slack, ensuring that we stay on top of any issues in real-time.

Another big plus is their customer support. They are incredibly responsive, not just reacting to feedback but also proactively suggesting and implementing features that are genuinely helpful for me as a data analyst.

Additionally, the data lineage functionality is a a great function for me, especially with the ability to drill down to the column level. This makes tracking data changes and understanding dependencies far more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

Would be nice to have a link to the Synq documentation in the daily use interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

I really like Synq for tracking data lineage and backtracking. It helps me see how models are used downstream, which is great for understanding our data workflows.

I've been using Synq for our migration project, and it's been a big help. The tool makes it easy to check how our DBT models are performing in terms of performance and volume. We, as a data team, use Synq for our regular analytic engineering needs and data monitoring.

The UI is very neat and clean, making it easy to see the data lineage. Synq is also super easy to use, which is a big plus.

The monitoring features are good too. I can set up alerts in Slack to find anomalies, which helps us respond to issues quickly. Integrating the tool with Slack for monitoring and alerting was easy and hassle-free.

Synq customer support is really good. We have Slack support with their team, where we can get help with any queries or difficulties we face, and everything gets resolved quickly.

Overall, Synq has been a great tool for us. It’s easy to use, has powerful features, and helps us keep our data in check. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

Nothing as such I can think of. Synq is useful in terms of our regular analytics needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SYNQ?

Synq is one of the most intuitive data reliability tool that I have come across. It is very ease to use and integrates seemlesly with our tech stack.

Any business utlises data from different sources and most of the time if the source data is changed, it had knock impact on the Data platform downstream. With the usage of synq we were able to address data consistency challenges.

We are in a position to identify issues proactively, With the help from Synq we are able to send alerts to the relevant data owners.

We use Synq on a daily basis to keep track of the health of our important data assets.

Our experience of liasing with technical colleagues from Synq have been really very smooth. They look out for feedback and act on it promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SYNQ?

There are no particular downsides to using Synq. It definitely makes our lives easier; however there is always a room for improvement i.e. taking on the reigns of predictive analytics by making predictions based on historical logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
