I like how simple, intuitive and helpful Synq is. It really helps me understand better how my code is built, by providing a clear lineage from model-to-model, including column tracking. On top of that, being able to follow downstream production to other tools (such as Looker) is a massive plus. I use this tool every single day, and haven't have any issues so far. I also feel like the Synq team is easy to reach, and helps us in any implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it has some minor UX hiccups while navigating between models, but it isn't bothering my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Synq for the last year, and it's just outstanding.
Synq seamlessly integrates with your entire data stack, allowing you to find issues at each level, from source to visualisation.
One aspect of Synq that truly stands out is its extensive range of features. From dbt tests to automated quality monitors to cross-project column-level lineage, Synq offers a comprehensive solution for all your data management requirements.
But what I like the most is the people of Synq. They actively reach out, looking for feedback. But they don't just react immediately. More often than not, Synq's team comes up with a new game-changing feature that solves a problem you thought couldn't be solved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't think of any major negative
The team has a ton of ground-breaking ideas, but not enough resource to implement everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Synq is integrated with all our data stack (github, dbt, Snowflake and Looker) and in an almost seamless way. It help us to maximise our efficienty and minimise the development/maintenance cost by adding an overlay on top of dbt systems (assets, runs, alerts, tags, ...).
For me, the most important features are:
- incident management, centralised our dbt alerts, group them in a smart way and add on top of it a notion of "incident" with downstrams impacts
- data catalogue, with column lineage and nice filters
As a "new competitors" in the market, I also think they want to stay close to their customers, and listen to their feedbacks, which is very nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some minor "UX" bugs and inconsistency. Probably because they're more focused on developing their core functionalities rather than the surface layer, but I have no doubt that it will only get better with time (and the overall UX experience is already satisfying). We have been using Synq for more than a year now, primarily to track issues related to our dbt models and tables.
Our organization has been growing rapidly, and so has the number of our dbt models. This growth has made it crucial for us
(a) to monitor past issues and receive alerts about ongoing problems, and
(b) to establish a seamless process for resolving issues while involving both business and technical teams in understanding their potential impact on various pipelines.
Synq has helped us achieve these two goals through its monitoring interface, providing us with insights into different kinds of problems that can occur over time (e.g., sudden loss or increase of data volume, critical errors, etc.).
Synq's support for dbt was a key reason we chose it initially. Later, we discovered additional functionalities that have added value to our processes, such as a seamless ticketing system and customizable integrations with Slack.
Moreover, our team is very satisfied with the attention to detail and responsiveness of the Synq team to each of our custom requests and feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We did not spot anything so far to be considered as something we would dislike in particular. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I particularly find Synq useful becaus of its lineage feature, which provides a clear and comprehensive view of all dependencies within our company’s most complex data models. Also, the intuitive interface makes navigation seamless, allowing me to quickly find what I need. Additionally, the customer support is exceptional! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing comes to mind, perhaps the UX can be improved over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a data analyst at Typeform, I frequently use Synq to monitor data lineage from dbt models and track data freshness.
I find Synq to be an exceptionally intuitive tool for visualizing both upstream and downstream dependencies, with the added benefit of customizable filtering options.
The tool’s dashboard makes it easy to spot failed tests, allowing me to quickly address any issues with the model owners.
I highly recommend Synq for its efficiency and user-friendly design! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing major to highlight at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to connect with our data warehouse, dbt and our BI reporting tool pretty easily. The products feature and column-level lineage is pretty cool so you can see both upstream and any downstream dependencies. We no longer need to manually check our data pipelines, we get notifications of any anomalies or issues so we can proactively address them which has reduced support tickets. It has been useful to have visibility across our data stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I cannot think of any downsides. The Synq team has been responsive to our needs and are open to feedback. When we have an issue, they are resolved quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pinpointing an industry wide problem and turning it into a product that saves us up to hours. Development over the years has been fast and always on point. Ready to use and implement without too much of a hassle and the features keep on increasing over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Due to close contact to the teams and short feedback loops, small discomforts were always solved incredibly fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Very helpful lineage, especially valuable for tracking column-wise impacts between models
- Intuitive usage, making it easy to navigate and utilise effectively
- Good integration of downstream data assets and ease of use with Slack integration, enhancing overall data management efficiency, real-time notifications and team collaboration
- Great customer care with responsive and helpful support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Occasionally slow, potentially due to the large number of data assets being managed
- Not all information from DBT docs is captured (e.g. sort keys for Redshift Tables), which can limit the comprehensiveness of the tool's insights Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have now been using Synq for the last couple of months and are really liking the product so far.
It has provided a lot of value to our existing data stack, and the ongoing development is amazing.
I could mention many features, such as anomaly detection, dbt testing, data products, ownership, etc., but the most valued aspect of Synq is their communication with customers.
We have provided feedback on various aspects, such as business alerting, and within a short amount of time, they have delivered on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I can think of as is that they are a smaller team, but that also gives a great opportunity to actively impact the development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
