The scope of this project was around image management. We take a lot of pictures and we analyze them in a detailed and scientific way. Image consistency is a real challenge. We were looking for a way to capture, tag, and analyze consistent imagery over time. Doing that correctly would create significant value for the business by allowing us to return better results to our clients.

There are a lot of development teams in the world that try to fleece you like snake oil salesmen. It's very unusual to find a company that doesn't work that way.
I think STX Next should be recognized and appreciated on the basis of their transparent approach to doing business. It's a shame that the industry can carry quite a bad rap in terms of technical consultants taking advantage of non-technical people. Working with a team like STX Next who take care to manage those relationships carefully and make sure that there isn't any information asymmetry is a really positive thing. STX Next were impeccable. They assigned an incredible team of people with expertise across product, design, graphics, UX and UI to assist me with my goal. They were challenging, insightful and ultimately the best people I could have chosen to do a part of my project that I myself did not have the skills for. Not only this, but they pushed my project forward with their thoughtful questions, which in turn made my entire idea better and made the value for money much more than I could ever have hoped. STX Next is responsible for developing new integrations for Sendcloud with various carriers such as Budbee, FedEx and Royal Mail. As soon as we agree commercially with a new logistics services provider in Europe, we task STX Next with building the integration for us. They’re also responsible for maintaining the integrations and middleware.
Additionally, STX Next supports our core development team with making architectural decisions and day-to-day development tasks on our platform. Two of their developers work with our own dev teams in Eindhoven. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best is that STX Next developers work side-by-side with ours. They are like colleagues to our own developers. What I mean by “side-by-side” is that everyone’s working from home now, everything is done digitally; meetings also take place in Zoom or Google Meet. And STX Next devs are part of that structure, they take part in the daily standup, they do retrospectives with us. So they’re really a part of our development department, I would say.
Aside from that, what I like about your account management (Christian and Kuba) is that they are willing to cooperate and think with us about solutions. STX Next builds teams instead of just delivering solutions, which is great because we cared about working closely with those driving our product forward. We ended up working together on-site with the STX Next team, which improved communication greatly, and helped us save time and money.
As a startup, having support when the need emerges to pivot and change direction is very important. STX has the breadth of experience to accommodate development of a product into new and exciting directions, whilst also providing the necessary depth of expertise to deliver our complex requirements.
Another thing that’s helpful is the ease and flexibility of scaling the team up and down. We started with five developers. Once our product was up and running, we no longer needed to keep all of them, so eventually we dropped down to one developer. Then we started getting traction with clients, so we scaled up again.
