It's not approachable and needs to be committed to delivering tangible results. What dislike the most is their lack of ability to adapt their strategies to industries and tailor them to meet needs. StrategyWorks complicates the business strategies, with their poor expertise. Their team of professionals does not grasp the market's heartbeat. Offers made solutions that dpes not deliver concrete outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The attention they give to every detail in their approach is not worthy not ensuring that all facets of my business are taken into account. StrategyWorks has not aided me in making informed decisions and accomplishing my goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The key to successful strategy execution is always the alignment projects and programmes to outcomes, accountability and transparency. Strategy Works forces you to think about these critical factors as soon as you begin defining or shaping your strategy and then simply and effectively enables you to track and monitor progress across the end to end strategy and crucially, equips you to effect change and actively ensure successful delivery - I love that this can be all 'live' in the tool AND available via real-time reporting.
Also, on the accountability front - successful projects have the team making an impact on what needs to get done rather than reporting endlessly on whether it is or isn't on track. Because the reporting is all automated and real-time Strategy Works free's up the project managers and project team to do exactly that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a details geek, so I would increase the level of detail available in the costs and benefits sections - it's quite a focused 'request' and may not suit of be useful for everyone else using the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Complete clarity and accountability for all strategic related activity on single platform.
This beautifully designed execution tool enables leadership teams to define, allocate, track and manage the delivery of multiple strategic programmes across multiple delivery teams providing visibility and clarity of the objectives, supporting strategies and activities through an intuitive and realtime analytics dashboard.
The simple and user friendly dashboard provides all key topline information in a single view so no need to go hunting. Navigating and drilling down for further detail is easy and logically with even the most complex data displayed in a clear and succint format allowing easy identification of activity that is running late, behind or on track. A mobile app providing a 'light' version of the platform would be hugely beneficial Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

How it helps me view how our projects are driving the strategic goals that the company has set Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It needs a bit of time to implement, but there's a great professional services team in place to support this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our leadership team places value in Strategy Execution and we are happy to be working with a tool that aligns to our way of thinking.
(1) The interface is clean and logical which helps direct our thinking.
(2) The ability to drill down into details for assessment of value and investment in each portfolio.
(3) Comprehensive & flexible reporting features - progress, objectives, KPI, benefits, etc.
(4) There is also a thorough and helpful knowledgebase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Any chance this, or part of it such as reports, can be an app for a mobile phone? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many companies struggle to determine what programmes and projects directly support strategic aims and what don’t. Also, it’s often difficult to demonstrate whether a programme or project still continues to support company strategy, even if it did at initiation. I have run exercises with a number of my clients to rationalise portfolios so that all programmes and projects therein demonstrate clear support for strategy and are not in the portfolio because of someone shouting loud enough. StrategyWorks would have been a really useful tool to have at that time.
Impressive features include:
• Drill down capability – great tool being able to drill down through the hierarchy from vision right down to activity.
• Local terminology mapping – very helpful to be able to change SW native terms to whatever the customer is familiar with.
• Dashboard – very useful way of displaying key information.
• Reporting e.g. Benefit Alignment Report – I love this one. “40 Projects with No Planned Benefit” – Brilliant! Let’s terminate them!
• Sliding timescale – I really like the way you can shrink or extend the time scale using the grey bar at the bottom of the screen – this is helpful for viewing a snapshot in time as well as the full timescale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some small areas for improvement - given the newness of SW this is not surprising and I'm sure that the ShapeCast Team have these covered within the SW product roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The visible of objectives and how pursuits link back to sector strategies is really beneficial. At any time our leadership team has full visibility of how we are meeting our strategic objectives and highlight the key areas of focus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A task list would be great. I hear this is in the making and will make it a full end to end strategy execution tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The visibility, it provides while planning and executing our plans; in particular being able to quickly identify the programmes and projects which were not aligned with our business objectives and key outcomes.
What was important for us through the whole process was being able to clearly identify what was working and what wasn’t. This really allowed us to reshape what we were doing which had a really significant impact on our plans.
Also, our programme and project teams were able to raise in a timely manner issues, risks and decisions relating to their activities, that needed to be brought to the attention of the leadership team. In time, I can see it replacing our monthly status reports.
What really made a difference to us what this isn’t just another point tool. Shapecast had a whole structure and method which really helped us through process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team at Shapecast, were very responsive to our feedback. Though it would be nice to have a feature that allowed every member of the team to directly communicate the feedback to Shapecast on 1:1 basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use, beautifully designed and the fact that we could see in a single platform all the initiatives we are running, how they are contributing to our goals and complete visibility of when and who is responsible for delivering the various activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ability to attach files to the various initiatives would be great? Dashboard is really useful but an added ability to improve notifications?? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
