What do you like best about StarLeaf?

This is a great interoperability program. The program is a very simple and intuitive user interface. Its team is spread all over the world. More, the connection from StarLeaf to the IBM Lotus Notes calendar is very useful. This program also has high-definition clear video images, good audio, and easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

There are many problems with the system’s microphone, especially at the beginning of a call. The quality of the sound is sometimes not the highest. It does not have additional features that even free video conferencing applications do not have, such as blurring or virtual backgrounds. Its enhancements are also hard to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

This program allows us to instantly see who is online, offline, or who is on a call. This program also allows us to jump directly from chat to voice or video calls or meetings, and add people immediately as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

I like the link Starleaf has with outlook to sync up meetings. It's more efficient to look in outlook, see who's available, and then add starleaf to the outlook invite to arrange the web meeting. Running a meeting is very simple in Starleaf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

I do not like the lack of polling features such as those found in Webex.

Also, the chat feature doesn't always alert the meeting organizer.

Finally, not being able to see what the others are seeing while presenting is a pain. Skype had that figured out 8 years ago.

Finally, tech support became non-existent after they went bankrupt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

Starleaf helped our company and department overcome communication gaps due to the pandemic and remote working.

We have managed to keep our team working together to meet company goals whether in the plant, at home or working from another remote location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Clare Cavenagh of StarLeaf

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

It is efficient to cover all teams and members across the globe. It allows high-quality calls and video. It integrates all the members. The calendar which is aligned is very useful. There exist good quality advantages for usage. Conference calls are important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

Mic at times is not well verse due to poor connection. The sound in calls at times lost its quality and began to break. This disappoints the users. An individual cannot search for anything in chats. The video cancellation feature is difficult as it is not possible to end directly. It is unavailable for Linux versions. Chatting options could be improved by adding more features. Chat should incorporate the feature of auto correct. It saves time correcting over and over again and reduces the chance of errors. The software should be available for the Linux version. Canceling a video is a bit hard, so improvement needs in this area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StarLeaf:

StarLeaf is a communication and collaboration tool that is efficient. It contains a meeting room similar to skype. The mobile version is unavailable. It allows users to attach a microphone to conduct meetings and calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

StarLeaf is an ideal and reliable platform for users. It is end-to-end encrypted. Moreover, another useful feature is Room System, which StarLeaf. The quality of the audio is amazing as well as the quality of the video. It is a secure platform to use as it is a cloud-based system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

The security of this platform is really differentiated me to choose StarLeaf as a virtual/online meeting platform. First of all, this platform is cloud-based which is prime evidence to ensure StarLeaf is a secure and reliable platform. Even StarLeaf follows most of the security protocols such as end-to-end encryption. The most useful and unique feature is having a "Room System" from the StarLeaf application. The video quality is simply great, this platform provides full high definition video quality which is really amazing and when it comes to the audio quality, this is great too and I must say this is best in the available segment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

Like other meetings platform, multiple meeting at a time is possible, I wish the same feature will be available in an upcoming release. It would be good to have auto-correct and punctuate while chatting. When we start a call without a video, we need to cancel it and start again and it's not easy to cancel video than and personal camera. Also, I wish this application should also be available on Linux and ubuntu because being a Test Engineer I need to test my application on all platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StarLeaf:

StarLeaf is the most secure and reliable platform. StarLeaf is customer-centric and focused on how to satisfy its customers. This platform fulfils all my meetings need exceptions on under budget expenses. So please go for it without any hesitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

The favourite aspect of this application is host control. This platform is providing full control and the host can run the meetings according to his needs, I can add anyone during the meetings, I can remove anyone during the meeting, I can mute, unmute and bale to lock the meetings for better security. The feature related to screen sharing, recording of meetings, and streaming the meetings on different platforms are working really very great. StarLeaf also provides me with the privilege to share info like files and chat with the guests or team who are at the meeting. The technical support and service are really excellent and most informative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

A phenomenally secure and reliable conference-calling platform with truly global reach, Starleaf offers true regulatory compliance in protecting client-related data alongside consistent quality of delivery regardless of user's OS, geographic location or size of team. That Starleaf is a proprietary solution developed in-house and still managed and run by its founding team of technical experts in the UK, offers significant peace of mind, critical in market sensitive work. No other current solution has been able to keep up with its combination of stability and reliable performance in even the most restrictive markets and time-zones. Underrated, truly excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

That call slots need to be booked outside the app (via browser) feels less integrated and needs updating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StarLeaf:

Wherever regulations require you to actively protect client-related data, be this in market-sensitive transactions, development of intellectual property or just to meet data protection laws, Starleaf is a uniquely effective and reliable solution. Already committed to 99.9% uptime within the platform, where operational connectivity and resilience are key Starleaf now also provide seamless continuity anytime your existing solution fails through their "standby" failover solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

Most online video conferencing and collaboration platforms typically suffer from the combined impacts of recurrent loss in connectivity and inconsistent geographic access. Additionally, other platforms very rarely offer any reliable level of data security or call confidentiality, which has become a serious liability from a compliance perspective. Our senior clients are hugely appreciative of the levels of security and consistent delivery that Starleaf offers, which is critically important to us reputationally as a long-term advisory firm. What do you like best about StarLeaf?

I love how it works seamlessly between the computer and mobile app. I also like how the group meeting function works. I believe you can have as many as 100 people on the call. I also enjoy that it automatically adds my accepting meeting (or invitations) to Outlook. It keeps me organized and on track. I also enjoy the ability to update my profile picture as often (or as little) as I want. While having a headshot is nice, since this is used internally at my company, a lot of my co-workers have updated their profiles to be their favorite animals or memes. Another feature I like is the "Do Not Disturb" function. This way, it doesn't send notifications to my computer app but I am still able to keep up with messages. I also like the subtle red dot that appears on the app's icon. It works as a gentle reminder that there are messages or missed calls without being too persistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

I wish there was a way to turn off calls coming in through my phone on certain days (like on the weekend). The other thing that is slightly annoying is that, when scheduling a meeting, you have to go into a web browser. It's unfortunate that this feature takes you out of the app. I have also noticed that if you are driving, it has a hard time maintaining the quality of the call. Besides all of this, I definitely would recommend this software for any company. It is definitely better than other business messaging software (such as Skype). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StarLeaf:

While it is important to look at your other options, I would highly recommend this software. It is easy to use and dependable. It is also great at inviting outside users to use that platform when having meetings. I would also suggest to look at how much you are spending on phone plans and how much the StarLeaf service is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to talk easily with our co-workers across the globe. Also, since this is web-based software, we do not have to worry about paying for an extra phone plan that includes internationally calling or texting. This, in turn, saves us money and truly increases productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

StarLeaf is the best collaborative tool for online/virtual communication. I love the simplicity of this platform. UI is very intuitive, so ease of use is too great. It fulfills all my needs just in one click like scheduling meeting, joining a discussion over call, instantly starting a new meeting session followed by an invite anyone, recording meetings on the cloud as well on locally, one to one chat, chats under the channel, call feature through VOIP, file sharing through the personal chat window or on the specific channel, use of emoticons on chat message also great features, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

I did not face any critical issues till now. It's perfectly working for me without any lag or problem. I would request the StarLeaf team to add an audio switching feature during an ongoing session on the desktop. Rest all good for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StarLeaf:

Best platform for high-definition video/audio conferencing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

I mostly use StarLeaf for internal meeting needs and sometimes outside organizations. StarLeaf is a fast and secure meeting solution and very easy to access. Audio and video quality is crystal clear; even on low internet bandwidth, it works very well. Availability of the mobile application is too much beneficial for me because I don't miss any single meeting or message even if I am away from my laptop. Third-party APIs and application integration are also too great. Especially the integration with Outlook is beneficial because StarLeaf sync all data from outlook, so while sending invites, it is effortless to see who is available for a meeting and how long any person is available. Even cost-wise, StarLeaf is not too expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

It is a beautiful platform that gives me complete confidence while working remotely during video/audio communication, even group chatting and one-to-one chatting is a fantastic feature. It allows us to send messages from existing contacts who are outside of my organization along with a preloaded quick message text like "Quick call now?".

Security and reliability are vital features of StarLeaf. If I talk about integration, then Outlook integration is one of the best examples I would give here. The look is more efficient in outlook, especially to see who is available. Another fantastic feature is the availability of the mobile application is one of the best features without any limitation as a desktop application. The mobile application has a complete employees directory to call anyone directly to mobile or from the mobile application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

So far, I have not found anything which will bother me much. But sometimes, I face intermittent disconnection during call on mobile application when i am using another application, and one enhancement I would request here to the team. It would be good to show the entire message on the mobile application Notification center to avoid opening the application if chat messages are unnecessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering StarLeaf:

Of course i would recommned this platform to everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

Availability of mobile applications is an overwhelming feature that allows us to use almost all features same as the desktop application. Security and reliability are also great features that help buildup strong trust to use the StarLeaf platform without any hesitation. Easy to use, so I would say it is user-friendly. Most of the actions start with one click, like screen sharing, start meeting, invite, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about StarLeaf?

StarLeaf is user friendly. It allows for instant messaging and setting up favorites. The video works very well compared to other systems. It has been a blessing during the Covid situation to keep people in touch with each other. I also like the option to call someone on video without first scheduling a meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about StarLeaf?

I wish the chat would auto correct and punctuate like a text when you hit the space bar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Try it. It works great. I have had no system issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is StarLeaf solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are keeping people connected by keeping the lines of communication open, and allowing remote workers to see their co-workers through the video capability. It helps with employee engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
