What do you like best about Spond?

Time management, allows for growth at a pace that suits me. We have grown but the level of admin hasnt changed allowing me to focus on working on making our club better for all involved.

Charlene has been a key factor to introducing the product, and then account managing. I am always pushing the capabilities and Spond are very forward thinking. Its a really great system.

The safeguarding aspect of the system is amazing, and parents and coaches love how it works.

Tech isnt everyones cup of tea, but most boxes are ticked and people are now used to using it.

#itsonspond was a term well used by me, but that seems to be less as people have adapted.

I have juat set up the entire season and training for the whole club in 2 days, which absolutely fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spond?

The lack on auto generated payments, needs a Xero or accounting software integration.

Could do with an intergrated coaches availability calendar or a place to add holidays that would then appear on dates as they are entered.

The app only allows you send 100 messages at a time, so I am not able to send the whole family of 400 people a message at once.

Cant refund app payment requests.

Email account integration with outlook would be good, and logged telephone calls with the ability to make a note, but not a massive thing.

Finance payment request to be seen in app also.

Think thats all for now, but minor bits

At some point a club sponsorship platform or ability to send info out for local business deals via a message, but can do that manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Spond?

Easy to use across every platform. Easy to set up and get everyone on board. Easy to keep everyone up to date with what's going on and where. People management - helps to store member information in one place. This includes linking a parent/guardian when the member is a child.

Event planning - helps to get people organised for football matches , training and tournaments and seeing who is available

Keeping people informed- posting match reports and social information where people can message back and join in the conversation

What do you like best about Spond?

I find the most helpful part of the Spond app is the creation of the 'Events' and how quickly you can duplicate a previous event to reduce duplication. Also, the reminder functionality is very helpful to chase up non-responders quickly and efficiently! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spond?

I would like to be made aware more of the full functions and features of the App as new developments are made, I don't ever remember being notified or given any details on how to use these or could be beneficial to me, for example, the fundraising feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?

Spond allows me to quickly and easily track the number of participants I have for each event, as availability is very important to ensure matches can be confirmed and take place. This saves me a great deal of time and effort compared to using Whatapp for example which is how I used to ask for availability and the information would easily get lost in the chat group, especially when working quite some time in advance. What do you like best about Spond?

We use this to organise events for our charity. It means everything is in one place, beneficiaries know what is happening, what they have booked and all the details rather than us having to use multiple platforms. What do you dislike about Spond?

Couple of little quirks, we have mentioned them and hopefully they will get sorted.

Having to book children individually on events - when you have multiple children it's a pain (and expensive with transaction fees)

Not being able to have different prices for events (such as carers or discounted siblings), this means we have to use the payment request feature, which is great (but makes the back end work harder) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Spond:

Consider it, it may be primarily a sports club app, but it has many applications, and could easily expand into other sectors with a few tweaks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Spond is helping us utilise more administrators within the app, which means it doesn't all fall on 1 person

It helps us with managing waiting lists and having most things all in one place.

What do you like best about Spond?

The ability to set a maximum number of attendees for specific events, and also have them scheduled in advance. The communication with juniors, including their guardians, the ability to take payment directly via the app, and this setting members as attending, means that we don't have members turning up saying they will 'pay next week' etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spond?

There is no credit facility built-in. So if a player pays for a session, and 2-3 days before they become ill (or contract covid, etc.), we have to add the amount they paid into a custom field manually. Then when able to attend, they have to request to use the credit they have, and we have to manually add them. If there was a way to set up rules that automatically gave credit if declined x days before scheduled start (perhaps set this on the event), and members could use this credit towards other events, paying any remaining in the same way. Recommendations to others considering Spond:

Understand fully the difference between Spond Club and the Spond App first. Pre-determine who will do what within the organisation for admin roles, hosts etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We no longer have issues where players turn up without paying, and no money is owed to us as a club by members. We are much more productive now, and the memberships and events are much better managed. We also have a good insight as to how many are turning up in advance, and whom. What do you like best about Spond?

The ease of setting up events, sending out invites, and tallying who is "in" and "out" for each game makes Spond very useful from an administrator standpoint. My teammates appreciate the ease with which they can respond to invites and enjoy the platforms flexibility across its app, the Spond website, text, and email. The messaging features in Spond need a major overhaul. Messages appear in numerous places--in events, in event responses, and in groups--making it very hard to track and respond to conversations. What do you like best about Spond?

Spond is an incredibly user-friendly solution that allows us as an organisation to manage over 200 participants to get involved in over 100 events throughout the year. This has literally saved us hours of work! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spond?

As we use this as a management solution for our volunteers, it would be good to recognise high attendance or log volunteering hours within the app. However, we understand this is a different way to what the app was designed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have solved the whole management of over 200 young people from across several secondary schools to facilitate and maximise volunteering opportunities within our community and beyond. Such things as communication between parents and us has vastly improved. We have seen an improvement in attendance at events and all of this through the power of Spond! Membership database. All our members are invited to Spond, and then take ownership of their personal details on the database. It is all held following data privacy laws, and can be accessed by only those who need to see it.

Collection of fees. We have immediate payment, and have collected 100% of fees within a month of the start of the season.
