What I appreciate most is that SpendHound is free to use and has an intuitive interface, making it simple to share features with my team. The value it offers is impressive, especially as they continue to introduce new tools to the platform. I highly recommend it!

I definitely think the strong customer support has helped us a lot. There was always somebody available to reach out and make sure the onboarding experience was quite seamless.

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Spendhound keeps me on track for upcoming renewals. The automatic emails are helpful as I don't have to go searching in spreadsheets for what's upcoming. I appreciate that the reminders show up 90 days in advance. I'm able to contact the department managers to confirm renewals and it assists with future cash projections. 

The additional insight into industry pricing is also helpful. Most recently Spendhound was able to confirm that we have preferred pricing with one of our more expensive software vendors.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I have not come across anything negative so far.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic reminders for upcoming renewals enables me to reach out to department managers with plenty of advance notice to confirm any change in renewals. This means there's less of a rush, but more importantly, it allows me to more accurately project future cash outlays.

The SpendHound team is extremely easy to work with and consistently responsive to all requests. They’re thorough and thoughtful when it comes to new feature requests and always take a collaborative approach in how we work together each week. It’s been a great partnership so far!

On the improvement side, since they’re still a newer company, there’s a lot of potential for additional products and features to be built out. That said, I’m confident they’ll get there — the team’s attitude and commitment make it clear they’re headed in the right direction.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound helps us consolidate all of our spend data in one place. It gives us a single, centralized view that includes contracts, owners, renewal dates, and associated spend, which used to be scattered across different tools and teams.

One of the biggest benefits is how customizable the platform is — we’ve been able to tailor fields, categories, and workflows to fit our internal processes. This flexibility has made tracking and managing spend much more efficient and transparent across teams.

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

It's free and insightful. As a Finance leader, it's easy to pitch a free system that adds value, giving us infinite ROI! Integration with our AP/corporate card vendor and ERP was very easy. Being able to monitor tech spend and tie it back to contracts has been quite valuable and has eliminated blind spots. The best part is the white glove renewal teams that has saved us $ on several large contracts at renewal or implementation by providing customized negotiation strategy and aggregated data of other users on their platform.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Only having software vendors. I understand the data insights and renewals are most valuable for software vendors that are widely utilized across platforms, but I think an opportunity is being missed on tying vendor spend and contract adminstration together by not pulling in all spend with our ERP integration. This could make Spendhound a 1 stop shop and be a huge value-add over systems where you can only see contracts or only see spend.

SpendHound has been a valuable tool in our software rationalization and cost optimization efforts at vLex. It provided quick visibility into active software spend, helping us identify redundancies and unlock significant savings early on.

The main concern so far has been the TTM (Trailing Twelve Months) data input. Since SpendHound reports based on posted transactions rather than on an accrual basis, it can cause confusion between Finance and other departments when interpreting spend timing and trends. Aligning reported spend with budgeted periods requires some manual reconciliation.

SpendHound is solving the problem of fragmented and opaque software spend. It centralizes vendor visibility, clarifies ownership, and highlights redundant or underutilized tools. I love how easy it is to work with the Spendhound team, specifically Ross Williams who is always quick to respond, provides me the information I need, and goes above and beyond. Spendhound makes managing my contracts and spend easy. The team makes it easy to implement and integrate and handles majority, maybe all the lift.

Spendhound puts all of your contract and renewal information in one place, allowing for ease of management and email reminders when contracts will become due. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful with assisting in renewal discussions and general contract management.

I wish we had found out about spendhound sooner.

The best part about SpendHound is being able to see all our vendor contracts, renewal dates, and spend in one place. It’s super helpful to spot duplicate tools and figure out where we can consolidate and save money.  Implementation was easy to use, and everyone on their team (customer support) is very responsive.

Honestly, there's nothing I really dislike about it, so far it does exactly what we need it to.

Spendhound has helped us get a clear view of exactly which vendors and software our departments are using, all in one place.  It also highlights tools with overlapping functions so that we can combine or eliminate to save money.  The renewal tracking is beneficial, giving us time to cancel or renegotiate contracts before the auto-renewal.

Spendhound provides an available team to access to discuss strategies for upcoming renewals.  They supply us with information related to price benchmarking, alternatives and negotiation tips to let us know how we can better save on the hundreds of software tools we own.

Make it easier to contact someone from Spendhound, currently its through our slack / Asana. If there is a link inside the platform to direct us to reach out to the contract renewal team, would make this clearer for App Owners.

We have hundreds of software applications that we use as a growing tech startup. We used to manage this all through Google Sheets and our accounting software. Spendhound allows us to assign accountability to budget owners and lets Finance work with them to lower costs each year.

Some of the best things about SpendHound... the admin dashboard is so user friendly, easy to understand, easy to navigate - it's just a great viewing experience. Love the dashboard! Also, the SH team is awesome to work with. They are responsive, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and the support and info they provide truly does result in a better negotiation. They're fantastic!

Nothing! I've been happy with the product and enjoyed the experience the entire time.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With SpendHound, we were able to bring all of our technology costs into one space - our true technology costs, not estimates. The admin dashboard makes it so easy to see and understand your full tech stack, what you spend on it, when you need to think about it for renewals - so helpful! Before we would track apps in various google sheets and excel sheets, and this such a better, high fidelity, more sophisticated solution. It saves us time, arms us with the right knowledge, and essentially provides a roadmap to optimizing your technology spend and usage across your enterprise.

Currently, there is nothing that I dislike about SpendHound.

We were not using any tool to track SaaS spend or renewals before onboarding with SpendHound. Now, our Finance team is utilizing SpendHound to track all SaaS spend, including their cloud module, and the associated renewal dates. We also use SpendHound's services to benchmark pricing for new tools and help with negotiating renewals.

I like that Spendhound has a connection with  my accounting software.  I also like the ease of use in uploading contracts.  The support team has been great as well.  Implementation went well.

I think the least helpful is that it is only maintaining SAAS contracts.

Providing us a spot to have all of our contracts in one place.  It allows a snapshot of those contracts with all of the vital details.  It will send reminders to allow us not miss out on terminating contracts within the time limits we have.

Consolidation of vendors with different software needs to be manual (e.g. - Salesforce and Slack, Adobe and Marketo)

SpendHound has completely changed the way we manage software spend at Glassbox. The setup took minutes, and now we have all our contracts, renewal dates, and spend data in one place. The proactive 90‑day renewal reminders and access to a procurement expert have saved us both time and money. The platform is intuitive, the insights are clear, and the customer support is excellent. The fact that it’s free makes it a no‑brainer. Highly recommended for any growing company.

What I like best about SpendHound is its seamless integration with NetSuite, the ability to invite team members and share details effortlessly, and the auto-renewal reminders sent to my email for upcoming renewals. I also appreciate that I can rely on their procurement support whenever I need assistance with pricing

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

One downside is that sometimes adding new software can be confusing because I have to wait until it syncs with NetSuite, which can take some time, and verifying that the new application has been successfully uploaded can be a bit time-consuming

I have not been able to find value in their software subscription tool yet. But the negotiation insights and the price still make it well worth while working with them.

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Organizing in one place a central database with all our recurring vendor contracts with the key data parsed out for easy review or download and analysis.  Additionally, the automatic alerts keep us on top of renewals. We've also tried out their Procurement Expert assistance program, which is a great way to get a wider view of both the market and particular vendor with which you're negotiating.  More broadly, however, their team has never been more than a few minutes away on Slack or email for questions on their product or even brainstorming uses cases just beyond their platform's edge!

Should note switching costs were essentially zero.  No reason not to try.  Link up with their systems, send a huge batch of your contracts to them, and you're in business!

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

I only really want to see more native operational integration into Slack (e.g. action items vs just alerts) where we conduct most of our day to day business.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A centralized, complete view of our vendor spend ALONG with operational alerting to renewals to keep us on top of that spend.

The biggest problem that SpendHounds addresses is keeping track of applications and reminding us of renewal dates.  This allows us to stay ahead of unwanted auto-renewals, which can become a real problem.

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

It is very customizable, and the Dashboard is excellent. It is easy to use and the set-up process has been fantastic with Ross Williams. He is super helpful, and is  willing to jump in and help with anything. It provides excellent insight into software spend and allows you to easily manage renewals with the notifications you receive. It easily integrated with Quickbooks online and NetSuite.

No concerns with the product. Love the new budget feature that is coming out.

Helping to provide visibility into software spend and will also be helpful at renewals and looking in to new software tools we may want to purchase.

We were able to quickly deploy and and everything set up, the reminders are fantastic. no more surprises.  Our account rep is top notch, extreemely helpful all the way through and we check in regularly.

nothing. we were able to add every contract or service we could think of.

We are no longer guessing what is coming up for renewals, we have a plan, we are able to negotiate deals becuase we are not in panic mode. They even offer some help with pricing and negotiaions.

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Spendhound is helpful in 2 ways, first their base product which allows us to organize our contracts and see what renewals are coming up easily is something we did not have before. We could of course do this internally, but the effort would have been larger and more annoying to manage. Second the customer service team is extremely responsive and helpful, going as far as to remind us when renewals are coming up. This allows us to not use a portion of our time managing this but rather have spendhound assist us, it increases my own mental capacity as I do not have to think about what spendhound is managing.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

The downsides of using spendhound are that in an organization that is already set up, and no as organized as I would like is that it is an effort to gather up and track down all the contracts, put in details etc. This effort is eventually rewarded with more organization long term.
Essentially sometimes startup cost can be larger.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization of contracts. Previously contracts and ownership of vendors was spread among 2-3 people, now it is managed in one place.

First the support from the team is top notch. You would think you were paying a premium service for the support you receive. The product is great and efficient too. We've really valued utilizing their expert calls on key renewals and potential purchases.

Nothing at this point. Hopefully in the future benchmarking is more automated.

**What do you like best about SpendHound?**

Their team has identified key opportunities for us to negotiate contracts that we were overpaying for. They compare what we are paying to what their customers are paying, and even provide sample emails likely to help reduce our rate while reducing the amount of back and forth with vendors. I like the visibility of all of these conversations in a dedicated slack channel so that I can review contracts by my department or others and see the progress of negotiations with Spendhound experts.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

Nothing so far. There have been one or two smaller vendors they did not have data on, but their team is quick to provide pointers regardless.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use SpendHound to determine if we are overpaying for software and SaaS tools. They provide us with context, and guide us through communicating with vendors to ensure we are paying fair rates, often reducing the amount we are paying.

FREE! For a free platform, they are amazing as aggregating your data, putting it into a clean dashboard, and allowing you to track very important information such as contract terms, renewal dates, active user counts, etc.

Uncovering Subscriptions for Monthly, Yearly is paramont - so many of them may be out of sight out of mind. Many can be negotiated on renewal and many can be removed as not needed. SpendHound helps with this process.

SpendHound has helped us to organize our abundance of SaaS subscriptions as a company who has acquired new brands over the past few years.  We've got all of our agreements, due dates and reminders in one spot and assigned to specific team members.  We are able to easily identify redundant software and SpendHound is attentive and provides comprehensive guides to renewing our subscriptions.  It takes a lot of work off of our shoulders and gets us out of an outdated spreadsheet.

**What do you dislike about SpendHound?**

We look forward to seeing the additional improvements that will impact the way we view files associated with each subscription.

**What problems is SpendHound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SpendHound is helping us to identify redundancies and stay organized with many subscriptions.  We are reminded early on renewals and provided with a comprehensive play book for each subscription which reduces research and helps us to pivot should we choose to consider alternate vendors.

I love the organization of how the online software accounts are shown in the portal.  It's very easy to see everything that we currently have active, and any upcoming renewals we need to take action on.

the only downside would be trying to find all the contracts for our software.  This is what I dislike about our side not Spendhound.

We now have a nice and clean list of all of our online sofwares.  We used to use an Excel spreadsheet that could get very messy and unorganized.

Their solution is simple but they are open to feedback and continue to evolve their platform. The staff is helpful and responsive. We've seen value from its use from day one. The integration with Netsuite took minutes and we had our data in a day.

The platform lacks some features found in comparable solutions, but it's free!
