The SpendHound customer success team is second to none. They're extremely responsive and are always on top of contract renewals. The product itself is a work-in-progress, but the renewal reminders and the dashboard are very helpful. Their vendor playbooks are also helpful in negotiating with vendors. The product is pretty new and is still a work-in-progress, but it has a lot of potential. Their product team is receptive to feedback and it seems that they have a lot of new features in their roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Finance/Accounting person here!
File management and renewal management has never been better for us!! Implementation was a breeze with our head of IT connecting Okta/Google and myself connecting Netsuite/QBO. SpendHound has kept spend owners (and me!) accountable for their team's respsective softwares and renewals. We've moved away from digging into our inboxes and having contracts stored in our Drive (with only CEO and Finance vis, not visible to spend owners that should have have vis). We are very hands-on with our software renewals now given a platform that has renewal dates/auto-renews/contracts/SOWs/spend owners/department tags/etc. all in one place. We have already seen savings from catching auto-renewal contracts before we're SOL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far, the platform has been easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
consolidated view of the tech stack and spend. visibility into upcoming renewals. great support from renewals team who provide insights to help with contract negotiations. very easy set up process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
product team is slowly developing the platform. very basic today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automated data pulling, which allows us to not only see rolling totals and dates, but discover all apps we are paying for, including misc apps people will sign up for, without notifying IT. Automated noticed to app owners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If this is going to be our source of truth/ repo for renewals and reporting, then I think we need more columns and reporting.
Right now if I log-in, there is no way for me to know if a renewal is in progress or not (aside from someone opening a ticket in IT Jira desk), a column for this would be nice with diff statuses (open, in progress, blocked, done, etc).
Accounting team usually also wants quarterly and annual reports on savings, costs, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SpendHound is a FREE. You get access to a procurement expert to guide negotiations. A view into your usage via an Okta integration. Spend tracking all in one spot. Customer support is amazing. Super easy to get off the ground, they run the integrations for you. Couldn't recommend more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing so far, we have enjoyed the service so far. Hard to complain when its free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Organizing in one place a central database with all our recurring vendor contracts with the key data parsed out for easy review or download and analysis. Additionally, the automatic alerts keep us on top of renewals. We've also tried out their Procurement Expert assistance program, which is a great way to get a wider view of both the market and particular vendor with which you're negotiating. More broadly, however, their team has never been more than a few minuts away on Slack or email for questions on their product or even brainstorming uses cases just beyond their platform's edge!
Should note switching costs were essentially zero. No reason not to try. Link up with their systems, send a huge batch of your contracts to them, and you're in business! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I only really want to see more native operational integration into Slack (e.g. action items vs just alerts) where we conduct most of our day to day business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spendhound provides me with a one-stop shop to track spending year over year, and stores my contracts and agreements to let me know when I have an upcoming renewal to renegotiate or cancel. Their customer success team is very hands-on and helpful in administering the bulk of the categorization and notification processes that would otherwise eat up a lot of my time. Super easy to implement and integrate with Quickbooks, and they help you all the way through the process. Always impressed with their willingness to help and accept feedback. They also provide advice on SaaS procurement and contract negotiation, which is always helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As the product is rather new, there are features that could be desired, such as more granular spending information, or visualized data showing your spending trends. While the platform is great for taking a wider glance at individual accounts and services, seeing that data accumulated in graphs or charts would be excellent for reporting purposes, as it would help highlight areas for better cost control across a business. The platform is equal to or better than paid services like Vendr and Tropic, but at no cost.
Also onboarding was super simple....connect your systems automatically, and the Spendhound tech and team does the rest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing identified at this stage. It's free and definitely worth more than free Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a software agency, we're using dozens of SaaS tools, and keeping an eye on our subscription costs has been a struggle for a while. We've been using spreadsheets until we discovered SpendHound, and here is why I like it so far:
- Setting it up was just a couple of clicks. It connected to our QBO and pulled all the necessary data from there
- Now, we have a single source of truth regarding SaaS expenses, which updates automatically
- Subscription ownership is a nice concept that has already saved us some $$$
- Renewal reminders are a big thing too
SpendHound seems to be developing rapidly and their customer service is very responsive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't thought of any downsides to using SpendHound. It's good for our use case Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spendhound is helpful in 2 ways, first their base product which allows us to organize our contracts and see what renewals are coming up easily is something we did not have before. We could of course do this internally, but the effort would have been larger and more annoying to manage. Second the customer service team is extremely responsive and helpful, going as far as to remind us when renewals are coming up. This allows us to not use a portion of our time managing this but rather have spendhound assist us, it increases my own mental capacity as I do not have to think about what spendhound is managing. The downsides of using spendhound are that in an organization that is already set up, and no as organized as I would like is that it is an effort to gather up and track down all the contracts, put in details etc. This effort is eventually rewarded with more organization long term.
Essentially sometimes startup cost can be larger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
