What do you like best about Smartlook?

The best part of the tool is the way we can review the customer's on-screen navigation throughout the time they are on your website. I have never witnessed a tool doing this apart from screen capture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlook?

We would need IP address as a mandatory field to search. Instead, we should be able to search recordings by customers account names and info within API integration to customers databases in the commerce cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Smartlook:

If you are an e-commerce business and you need to understand how customers navigate and experience the journey on your website end-to-end. This is the best tool in the market. We can easily assist customers with their queries related to the shopping experience as we can see what is the exact issue they are facing. Also, data analytics is out of the word. The heatmap is the best feature to understand the most heat spots on your webpages and helps us to identify and work on areas on the page that needs improvement. What do you like best about Smartlook?

I dislike that mobile app setup is more challenging than web but this is typical and not really a Smartlook problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Smartlook solving and how is that benefiting you?

Often bugs reported can not be recreated, but now we can use Smartlook to see what happened, allowing us to resolve the issue. We've also been able to set up multiple booking funnels / flows to understand better why users are dropping off and we have used this to see how new functionality might impact conversions. What do you like best about Smartlook?

The best parts of Smartlook for me are: 1) That I can see what the user actually saw most of the time. With other software, there are styling issues and I know that what I am seeing is not what the user actually saw. 2) The multiple filters that are available to find specific sessions. 3) That Smartlook makes it easy to see what happened, when, and how. 4) That it seems to be very precise about the user location. What do you dislike about Smartlook?

The processing of sessions takes a bit too long to be completed. The software itself is a bit slow compared to other programs. Sometimes there are styling issues, although less often than with other software. Some sessions are missed, but I think this can happen with any session recording software. What do you like best about Smartlook?

We haven't had this level of insight from our mobile customers, ever. We are now able to have access to seeing how our customers use our mobile app, which helps us find bugs more quickly as well as validate design very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlook?

I wish we could track errors. I would also like to have a map like Google Analytics has to see where all active or completed sessions are taking place. The program is already capturing IP addresses and telling us where people are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use React Native. In order to track anything meaningful in the app we had to flag each specific component. This took some time to get right but is necessary with React Native, especially since that's how RN functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Smartlook solving and how is that benefiting you?

We haven't known how our customers use our app daily—also, trying to contact a field employee to determine how they came across as a bug was next to impossible. What do you like best about Smartlook?

Recordings are very helpful for gathering data about new features. Smartlook offers great filtering options that help us find what we're looking for. Also keeping an eye on users' behavior through funnels is extremely useful for future development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Smartlook?

First of all, I like the way to install and configure - Very Easy Step by Using GTM or Code. Just A Single Code and Get it Done.

Second is Each and Every Second, Review, Insights Interest Showcase in Video Format. Heatmaps is also a great feature.

I am new for now - reviewing in just after 10 min of signup at Smartlook - but I feel I should share my experience as a new user and ofcourse i am exploring it more and will look into it details.

What do you like best about Smartlook?

Smartlook is a very complete solution and at a very economical price to analyze our users and the usability of our eCommerce site.

Thanks to him (and some popcorn packages) we see the browsing sessions of our clients to find ways to improve the conversion rates and the bounce in the ecommerce of Denox clients.

Integration is a very simple piece of code that with little knowledge can be done in programming. Also if they use GTM containers it is even easier. We have been using it with several eCommerce for months after having used other solutions on the market such as hotjar and for us Smartlook wins especially. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlook?

I miss that with Smartlook I could easily categorize Test A / B on my sites and see those screen recordings. I do it with another tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Smartlook?

I used the integration SDK in Android, and I loved that it is easy to use, and the interface where we can see the heat maps is unique. It is elementary to use since it is very intuitive because anyone who has not used Smartlook can adapt very fast. After all, it is a very indispensable tool since it cannot help with heat maps, so we can improve the user experience to be able to pay more attention to where users use an app the most. Another thing that I loved is that we can also integrate the SDK on iOS devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlook?

What I did not like at all was that in iOS, we had to make some changes to make the SDK work correctly, but thanks to the documentation, we could solve that issue so that it could work on both platforms correctly. Recommendations to others considering Smartlook:

My recommendation is that you use the trial version. There you will realize that Smartlook is what you are looking for since with its heat maps, the events that can be scheduled, and the security that it handles, you will be able to succeed in what you are looking for as it has a very innovative design and very easy to understand since everything is very friendly from the colors to the buttons in the administrator. The problems that I was able to solve was knowing where the users of the application spent more time using the heat maps. The benefits that I saw were the interface is very interactive and that I can add more than one project, and I can have one in the development environment and the production environment. Another problem that I solved was the issue of being able to verify what was the most sought after in the application in order to improve the user experience. What do you like best about Smartlook?

The fact that you can review exactly what a user experienced in your app by watching the video attached to the session, followed by the feedback within the events and rage clicks linked to the user's actions.

This app also provides event and analytics that improve the realization of the user journey inside your app, helping it funnel and discover the weakenesses you have to improve and the strengths you must keep.

What do you dislike about Smartlook?

As a mobile app developer, sometimes while reviewing a user session on an app that loaded in portrait mode Smartlook forces the session video to open in landscape mode so it gets pixeled very heavily and gets a bit hard to understand what's going on.

On the other hand, Smartlook is based on a web application and I wish there was more feedback with hybrid apps and their screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At first if you want to use analytics be aware and organize what you want to measure and where do you want to setup the events in your app, after you finish this, you can now understand what's gonna happen in the analytics inside Smartlook.

I figured out some bugs inside a UX process in my app while watching exactly what the user did to cause said error. I have accomplished to notice where my final users were getting stuck and where did they hesitate on their next actions by watching their behaviour. I've also been able to fix internal code erros with the events debug Smartlook offers on mobile apps. As of benefits, you get to live the users experience and watch how the common user react to your design.
