The main thing that I dislike about sketchup is it is very difficult to convert the files into a 3D printable usable one. To make it slightly usable a lot of time has to be taken to make sure each of the faces are solids. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the freedom sketchup provides as a design too. I allow you to design in 3D and does not limit you to 2D. There is a massive benefit to looking at your product from all sides. Sketch up is very user friendly. I am a relatively new user and I have had a great time learning the program. It has already come in handy on work projects and I am still a beginner.
