The 3D warehouse resource is unmatched by any other 3D modeling software. The clean user interface makes it easy to use and present directly to a client. The ability to import CAD linework makes modeling off of a floor plan extremely easy and fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The collaboration capabilities are limited. You can't have multiple people in one model at the same time. The CAD linework that is imported does not update as changes are made. When collaborating with a team, the 3D modeler has to import new floor plans every time changes are made to the architectural drawing set in AutoCAD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how you can easily model your ideas and that it is user-friendly for those who don't know how to use it. Being able to tag components and being able to hide them is also a great feature! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like how you always have to model in a 3D view and can't do it in an elevation view. When you have too many components in the file, the system could get quite slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Imports easily from AutoCAD and is super fast to extrude and build out Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the UI changes they've made in the last year or so, I don't feel like they've been an improvement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sketch up is by far the easiest software to convey design intend to customers without investing a ton of engineering resources. As a small business with a limited budget, there is no better option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Just like everything else I think software needs to be a one time purchase, not a yearly subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The useability & versatility of the program. The quick modification to design and concepts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing. The software meets my needs. I would recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
fast and easy. I like the simple layout of the application. They added folders to layer- tags which I think was helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I disliked that they got rid of the north arrow and I have to install it as a plugin now. I really wish you could create folder for scenes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's easy to learn starting off, which was great. But it seemingly unlocks new features as you need them, as your skills become more advanced Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some features are only available on the windows version, mostly the Revit conversion feature. It would be amazing if that could be available on the Mac. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love using this program, and especially combined with LayOut, it's helped me convey so many ideas to clients, project managers, and other contractors. I love the capabilities to scale, dimension, and get an idea across so everyone is on the same page.. A picture is worth a thousand words. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything off the bat. I think SketchUp has a lot of the capabilities I want, such as customizing my own templates or creating my own palettes (so I'm not having to duplicate this work every time), but I just haven't figured out how to do this yet.
