"Intuitive Interface and Flexible Integration Elevate Our Analytics"
5/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

I love the polished and intuitive user interface of Sisense. The integration capabilities are impressive, ranging from non-embedded options to iframes and an SDK that we can leverage in our application. The 'compose SDK' is well documented and provides easy-to-follow examples for integrating within a React application. It's great that we can build Sisense into our product and offer useful information directly through the app. The transition from Exago to Sisense was pretty easy, and having a Jasper Reports plugin for legacy reports that need to be pixel-perfect is a great asset. What do you dislike about Sisense?

The elasticache feature is probably our least used feature because of the way our databases need to be queried and cross database schemas joined together. It isn't supported in the elasticube. We tried to use the build for RedShift that leverages elasticube, but we eventually stopped using it altogether. Another area for improvement would be with the Git integration. Initially, it seemed like what we needed, but our engineers decided it does not fit our needs. It seems more geared towards people with a staging Sisense deployment and a production, whereas we only have one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Data Combination and Manipulation, in a Polished Package"
4/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

Caching data using Elasticubes gives the ability to stack multiple data and columns on top of each other, allowing for complex custom data pulling from many different areas than software directly querying your data. Being able to connect to many different sources helps bring data together. Our customers really like the look and feel of Sisense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

While the platform is generally stable and free of major bugs, more minor bugs do crop up with release versions and may go unresolved for multiple releases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Dashboarding, Needs Better M2M Join Handling"
4/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

I think Sisense is a good tool for modeling and dashboarding. It helps with automated reporting, which is really convenient. I particularly value the Sisense ElastiCube method as well. It's important for my team as it helps us get data and modify it based on our needs. Additionally, the Sisense team is very helpful, making the initial setup process smooth and without much issue. What do you dislike about Sisense?

Many-to-many joins cause issues all the time, but the development team helps me with that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Data Modeling and Flexible Dashboards with Powerful Performance Control"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

I like the simple data modeling, and I really appreciate the clear way it distinguishes between live and cubed models. The Dashboards have tons of visualization options and you can even use custom plugins. You have full control over dashboard performance with live and cube models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

I think the AI features still leave a bit to be desired. I’d really like the AI to do more to help with modeling and with creating dashboards, since that’s where it would be most useful for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and Flexible for Advanced Data Analysis"
4/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

I like that Sisense is easy to use and flexible, making it valuable for both everyday data analysis and more advanced tasks. I find that the cube feature makes everything easy to visualize and keep track of, and using custom columns simplifies the process further. I also appreciate how the initial setup of Sisense was easy enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

Sometimes the UI in the cube is buggy and the dashboards can be slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sisense’s Customization Flexibility Makes It Easy to Fit Our Needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

Flexibility is the big win here. Like most analytics platforms, it isn’t going to do everything we need right out of the box. Sisense gives us the ability to customize just about everything, which makes it much easier to shape the product around what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

Not really a dislike but I think they could provide additional, detailed examples of some of the more complex customizations like creating your own widgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly advanced widget customization and mastered look & feel"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

I like the ability to customize widgets and look and feel to very fine details, including font, color, size of text, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

The cubes and the need to build cubes, we always seem to have a lot of hassles with builds sometimes failing, designs of infrastructure not done properly, etc., and this causes a lot of hassle. It's also hard to do translations for all of our widgets/dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Data Connectors and Easy Modeling with Elasticubes and Live Models"
4/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

All the different data connector options are great, and It makes it easy to develop data models with the Elasticubes and Live models. This makes it easy for people without a strong data modeling background it develop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

When designing dashboards, I find the customization options very limited. Aside from out of the box features and add-ons, it's difficult to customize without knowing how to develop scripts or having to purchase an additional plugin from a 3rd party. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Challenging Setup, Restrictive Data Capabilities"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

I like that Sisense is pretty simple for new users to get into and start doing things with it. Building is pretty quick, which is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

They have a whole setup of using Elastic cubes, which can be really difficult to manage and oversee data security for them. Additionally, some of the interface of building analytics that are immediately in full dashboard view can be a little hard to get version control done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A versatile and evolving BI tool"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Sisense?

Sisense offers developers an intuitive interface. Building models (live and elastic) is easy and straightforward. Basic capabilities are easy to learn and adapt. There is a range of widgets to choose from. I'm personally a fan of Blox given its versatility.

As a service, the support we receive for issues and queries is always outstanding. Though some issues take longer to be resolved, we are kept up to date on the progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sisense?

We struggled integrating it with Slack. Some of the basic widget customisations need custom scripting (if it is a frequently requested feature/capability the team strives to add it in the upcoming product releases, which is good). Having to purchase addons from third-party vendors for basic features is not ideal.

Lacks the ability to search for a metric to identify which dashboard contains it unless the metric is explicitly mentioned in the dashboard name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
