What do you like best about SEIS?

I use it everyday so I know my way around, but it's quick to grasp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SEIS?

The user interface can be more aesthetically pleasing and font can be bigger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SEIS:

Playing around with it and being hands on is really the best way to learn SEIS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SEIS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I like that it tells you about CASEMIS errors that I often wouldn't catch with the human eye. It's quick and easy to affirm and attest IEPs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SEIS?

SEIS is a relatively streamlined approach to creating/maintaining IEPs. Sections of the IEP are clearly outlined and differentiated. Everything is pretty cut and dry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SEIS?

It can be difficult when a team would like to work on the same parts of an IEP, and the program does not allow it. For example, if the teacher is updating present levels, no other member of the IEP team has access to that information until the teacher logs off. If someone forgets to log off, everyone is shut out. The same will happen for the Educational Setting page.

Also, you can access the IEP from the Demographics page, but once you are in the future IEP for updating, you must navigate out of that page to get back to the demographics, which would have historical IEP information. Often times, this leads the educator to open secondary tabs to check back on information, which might lead to data loss if you update but do not save the most current page. It is an issue I have heard of happening multiple times.

Only educators who have been added as a service provider can access a student's IEP, which might serve to prevent privacy violations, but in my district only one person can add or remove a service provider, and sometimes you are unable to work on an IEP in the meantime because you have to wait to be added to the list. There have been times where I have had to log using another educator's information because I had not been cleared as a service provider in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SEIS solving and how is that benefiting you?

SEIS allows multiple members to work on an IEP in the privacy of their own classroom/office. This is a time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SEIS?

SEIS provides centralized online management and storage of IEPs and Special Education Student Records. It collects and stores all IEP, and demographic information for each student from the time the student was entered into SEIS, on what we call the Student Record. This record along with all historical IEPs and Progress Reports are kept in SEIS for the entire time the student is in the system. These IEPs, student data, and history can be transferred from district to district. This works well with districts that have this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SEIS?

That districts that do not use the system are unable to access the student information, IEP, and demographics. This can have implications on the student by not having historical information on a student being transferred to another school for adminstration and teachers to review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SEIS solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am not currently solving business problems, and realize the benefits of using this program. In addition to the State reports, SEIS has a report generator which allows users to search for students based on a variety of fields and show any number of fields in the results. Any custom reports you make can be saved for re-use so you don’t need to rebuild them time after time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
