Top Rated SEIS Alternatives
SEIS is a relatively streamlined approach to creating/maintaining IEPs. Sections of the IEP are clearly outlined and differentiated. Everything is pretty cut and dry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be difficult when a team would like to work on the same parts of an IEP, and the program does not allow it. For example, if the teacher is updating present levels, no other member of the IEP team has access to that information until the teacher logs off. If someone forgets to log off, everyone is shut out. The same will happen for the Educational Setting page.
Also, you can access the IEP from the Demographics page, but once you are in the future IEP for updating, you must navigate out of that page to get back to the demographics, which would have historical IEP information. Often times, this leads the educator to open secondary tabs to check back on information, which might lead to data loss if you update but do not save the most current page. It is an issue I have heard of happening multiple times.
Only educators who have been added as a service provider can access a student's IEP, which might serve to prevent privacy violations, but in my district only one person can add or remove a service provider, and sometimes you are unable to work on an IEP in the meantime because you have to wait to be added to the list. There have been times where I have had to log using another educator's information because I had not been cleared as a service provider in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SEIS is very helpful program in writing IEPs. It has a references and couments library if there are other papers needed in addition to the IEP itself. I like that it is more user-friendly now compared to frous years ago, when it is difficult to check if the user has made mistakes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
SEIS has just added its new E-Signature feature, and although the affirming part is easy after obtaining signatures, there is no way for educators or case managers to see the signed page unless all the team members are done signing. It also has a 7 day period for the team to sign, and that is pretty short. Also, if a user makes a mistake in the paperwork, helpfek will usually redirect you to your LEA or district, which can be frustrating especially when trying to meet a deadline. Website is fairly easy to navigate. Able to work collaboratively on student's file. Anyone working with the student is able to access current information on the child, especially in the cases where students move out of district or into our district. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
System goes down a lot sometimes during critical times so creates stress for working collaboratively on inputting information into student's file. This sometimes has us working on files up to the last minute before meetings with families. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
