What do you like best about Seal?

Opvia adapted to our needs and is going to take over many parts of our science. In addition, they dedicated a team to help us onboard Opvia and are available at any time to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

Right now (Oct 12, 2023), there is no cloning/sequence viewing HOWEVER, the platform intuitively attaches FASTA files to our notebooks to share with the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most prevalent one for me is inventory management; using relational data tables, we are one step closer to an automatic reordering system.

The most important element to the team is the lab notebook. I like calling it the full pipeline: Opvia displays the user what materials and supplies we have, then the user applies the SOP, addes in the data, writes the code IN THE NOTEBOOK, and sees the analysis - all on one page. Product Description

Opvia is a flexible, no code software solution, designed to allow research teams to build compliant, integrated, versioned SOPs that bring their team and data together. Turn spreadsheets into interconnected tables with a familiar spreadsheet interface and the functionality of a database. Store your entities and their metadata in one place so you can see their current state (e.g. location) and results (e.g. experimental data) . Turn documents into version controlled data workflows and convert your repetitive workflows into templates that are ready to execute with a click. Follow a protocol, document your work, and upload, visualise and run custom scripts on your data, whilst simultaneously pushing into a master data repository. Develop Quality Processes by using version control to introduce review processes to ensure compliance and iteratively improve processes. Produce retrievable and traceable data that you can trust. ‍

What do you like best about Seal?

Great customer support, with on hands training on the different features Seal offers. Flexbility in creating most of the different pipelines of work we intended. It's a tool that everyone in our team uses every day. From managing orders and printing labels, to having an integrated ELN and project manager tool, all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

Unlike other QMS, I love the flexibility of using their platform for a wide range of purposes; from document version control, equipment management/maintenance and keeping track of training records (setting up notifications and reminders) to complying with accredication ISO standards by storing internal audit records, tracking of CAPAs, vendor management and also computerised system validation. The potential of their use is endless and we hope to use it not only for QMS but also for LIMS and ELNS and meta data storage.

I like that we can generate graphs and view them on dashboard to visualise status of records.

Opvia has great customer support and really listens to feedback and is constantly improving to fit their clients' needs. As with anything, it takes time to get use to a new system but it is really easy to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

Not a dislike but due to the flexibility of the platform it takes a little bit more time to set up a system from scratch to get it to the way we want it instead of using an off-the-shelf QMS platform, for example, latter being more rigid, where you use what you are given thus don't have to make as many decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

(1) We can set up notifications for when a record is due for update so we don't have to routinely check, it will notify us instead.

(2) Ease of document version control, track changes and send docs out to staff for training instead of tracking this in excel and sending docs via DocuSign to collect electronic signatures

(3) Implement way to certify scanned cope of paper source data in an efficient manner

(4) Track number of records and visualise meta data easily in one single place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

Opvia's customer support and training are second to none and are always available when we need help or have any questions. The flexibility and customisation of the platform, make it very easy to use and have allowed our team to easily transition to this new system. As a result, the implementation and integration of the platform have been seamless, which has saved us both time and resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

To date, we haven't had any significant drawbacks either using the platform or in our interactions with the Opvia team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Opvia is allowing us to greatly streamline our QMS and improve our overall workflow efficiency and data handling. We're very excited about our next phase of growth which is being greatly supported by the integration of the Opvia platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

Opvia is extremely flexible and the customer team is always available through various channels (slack/teams/email).

Compared to other biotech ELNs, Opvia provides a large suite of features by simplifying the concept to databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

Since Opvia is a young company, some features are still early in development. We choose Opvia for their data structure and use their API to visualize our data with complex dashboards elsewhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Opvia helps us structure our data, so information is never lost and we can take action based on both historical data and current data.

Thus, the value of our data is increased manyfold by using Opvia Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

Opvia is the only QMS flexible enough to adapt to our workflows. We had tried other systems but they were too rigid and making changes in the system was too hard or had to be done by the supplier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

Opvia is extremely helpful, but coming from using other legacy QMS it takes a bit of time to adapt, but their CX team does a great job any time we need help Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our previous QMS was completely out of date and we couldn't work well with it. Opvia has really helped us to establish a culture of quality by allowing us to directly execute our SOP and templates directly on the platform. We were primarily looking for a QMS, but the additional ELN functionalities really came handy as now we can have different teams using the same platform and sharing information there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

The platform is easy to use and it works well. However, the best thing about Opvia is the support team and the overall service. The rate at which suggestions are taken on board and implemented is really nice. Any difficulties I have had have resulted in a personalised service and support from somebody within the team expert on that feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

I can't fault the features of the software as any gripes that I have had have been addressed through giving feedback and implementing changes very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Opvia provides a mechanism for our laboratory protocols to be shared efficiently and track changes to protocols over time. We also store a lot of data and it is nice to have all data connected to particular subjects connected and easily traced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

Opvia is relatively new in the market, when searching for a system which could fulfil both QMS and lab notebook functions for a small business it was the only real contender. Six months in and the support from the Opvia team has been amazing, we have worked closely with them and they take on board all our feedback and strive to make the system fulfill our requirements, the system is constantly evolving as a result and we can see there will be more and more uses for it in our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

I wouldn't say there are any real downsides to the system or customer experience for us. However as it is is highly customisable and versatile it does require a significant input of time from staff with high levels of enthusiasm for and knowledge of computer systems / database management etc. In our case this is for migrating existing systems onto the platform (we have a complex 20 year old system of Office files and paper systems) it would also be true if building new systems from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is streamlining our documentation systen. saving a lot of time and eliminating duplication of effort and errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

(Original )Information
What do you like best about Seal?

I have appreciated all of the time the Opvia team has taken to work with our team in customizing our platform. They are always quick to respond to requests and proposed updates. The Opvia platform has been the ideal solution to our data management needs and has the ability to grow as we do too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

It has taken longer than anticipated to set the databases up. Some of our more complex Labformulas have proven difficult to intigrate with the Opvia platform even after a few attempts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are digitizing all of our quality and lab data to have a better way to view and work with these records. We need a customizable and mobile friendly solution to recording results and having records at hand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

Still very polished but has room to grow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Process development groups at biotech/biomanufacturing need more nimble platforms for data management and experiment design than any conventional enterprise solution will allow. Opvia can be tailored specifically to the needs of the department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Seal?

The system is incredibly flexible, the system has been rapidly built up around our needs, particularly how we intend to structure date. Previously we were using Microsoft office suite and paper; this is a massive upgrade compared to those. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Seal?

The flexibility of the system means that initially, we needed to think about how to structure properly our data. The Opvia team were really helpful it supporting us during this process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Seal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bringing all our data into one place, previously it was siloed in excels/paper. As a result we can now run more detailed and informative analysis on this data because we can see its full context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
