onestly, not much to comment here. The platform works well, and the support team is excellent. If anything, there are some minor UX/UI areas that could be slightly refined for an even smoother experience, but nothing that significantly impacts functionality or value. The combination of a software based dashboard, automated fetching of required informations and the amazing human guidance from our success manager Mischa made this certification a really easy process.

The dashboasrd helps to stay focussed on the important parts, the recurring tasks make it easy to stay on top of the process also in betwen the certifications so that evidence-fetching and uploading becomes a part of the daily routine and not one huge burden shortly before the certification.

And with the help of our success manager we always knew what the next important steps are to focus on so that we could not waste valuable time on unnecessary tasks. This was a truely amazing experience that helped us tremendously focusing on the important things and made the whole process feel like a short and entertaining stroll.

The software also allowed us to get a good overview over our processes and risks and also makes it easy to keepp that up to date and stay on top of everyting in between certifications.

Laura and the team were amazing from day one — they clearly explained the process, laid out expectations, answered all of our questions, and smoothly guided us through everything, in what could otherwise have been a fairly daunting process. Provided that your organisation is willing to dedicate resources to the process, put in the work, and openly collaborate with the Scytale team — you can definitely expect it to be quite a smooth process.

Their platform was modern, and had excellent integrations with our internal tech-stack, and even supported some edge cases that, for example, competitors like Vanta (which cost muc more) didn't. Setting up the integrations took less than a day for us to do. Their support staff were also extremely accommodating and helpful in answering our questions.

Ultimately, we were able to get our ISO certification on-time (barring one minor delay, which wasn't anyone's fault — and was addressed to our satisfaction by Laura and the team) and on-budget.

Overall — we loved Scytale! However, do keep in mind that compliance is a resource intensive process for any org (regardless of whether Scytale or any other consultancy is there). HOWEVER, if you are willing to put in the effort, and engage with Scytale's team (who are there to help you out), you will have a much easier time.

Some improvement areas:

There's a bit of iffy UX at certain places in the Scytale platform — but nothing major (besides, what platform doesn't have these). I'm confident that the platform will get even better in the future — I could see that improvements were already being made to various aspects during our ISO process.

Also, we did use Scytale for pentesting, and the timelines/ communication their pentesting division was a bit slow at times — but, our collaboration with the ISO / compliance division was 100% solid and recommended without any hesitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We had to tag ppl in comments if we wanted them to get an email notification which meant sometimes ppl didn't see comments if someone forgot to tag them. This was a minor issue which can hopefully be fixed at some stage Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part is working with the Scytale team. They are responsive, informative, and extremely helpful. We have weekly catch-ups to discuss our progress on SOC 2 compliance. * The plafrom itself is not there yet, integrations are missing and sporadically fails, it still automate parts of the work but wev'e made a lot of work connecting everything into the plafrom we expected more.

* We agreed on very demanding timeline it got delayed.

* Policies are very broad and we needed to make adjustments to almost every policy.

The Account Manager CJ is super helpful and a real pro. The tool itself is a tremendous help alone, but she really goes the next mile in order to help us. I use it every day and honestly we probably wouldn't get certified without it at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The policies editor is really bad - we ended up doing all of them in Google Docs instead. I think integrating Google Docs would do a much better service. I'd also appreciate if the policy templates were available throughout the whole process, not just att the beginning.

I'd also appreciate a higher level of integration. For example the Inventory Assets and RBAC - all those data are already in the system and it's a nightmare to need to fill a ton of spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
