What do you like best about Scoot?

With a virtual team, there is a level of connection that can be missing, and Preciate helps to bridge that gap that a bunch of tiles cannot. Instead of everyone talking over each other, or a bunch of glazed-over eyes, Preciate helps to bring some humanity to this remote work. Allowing users to be interactive by moving around and jumping to different conversations keeps everyone engaged, a considerable step up from random break-out rooms. It is simple, but I love the short information video for first-time users; it is an excellent overview that allows users to join seamlessly and begin conversing. The option to create different rooms is a huge step above Zoom, and I love the toast feature as it is a great way to alert everyone someone is going to speak instead of trying to get everyone to quiet down and mute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

Overall it is a fantastic platform, just looking forward to a mobile option for those users who may be joining from the road. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have lots of daily standups and weekly team meetings, and it is an excellent change of pace from all the tiles and keeps everyone engaged during team meetings. Everyone is much more involved instead of hiding on mute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Scoot Overview

What is Scoot?

Scoot is an experiential meeting and webinar platform that provides new ways for people to interact in a virtual setting. Patented Social Presence® technology promotes connections because meeting attendees can move and mingle, just like they do in real life. Scoot is ideal for meetings and webinars that have more than 25 attendees. When attendees want to engage with each other, company representatives, and subject matter experts, an interactive experience on Scoot provides more value than a broadcast-style meeting or webinar. There are two experience modes in Scoot. Mingle mode enables attendees to move within a customized, branded virtual space. Presentation mode provides presenters to share content and videos. Screen sharing is enabled at three levels: group discussion, entire room, and entire Scootaverse. Smart Badges are populated with attendee data and are searchable. Attendees can enter their Smart Badge data during registration or upon entry. Data can also be loaded in advance or imported from external systems. Smart Badge data can be configured as conditionally viewable. Scoot supports all major browsers and mobile devices. Our client list includes multiple Fortune 500 brands as well as many small and medium-sized organizations.

What do you like best about Scoot?

Preciate has truly helped our firm come together in these difficult times. Our company fosters a culture of communication, collaboration, and appreciation. Preciate is not only fun but also interactive. It brings us together in an easy-to-use and dynamic platform. Being able to see others' thanks and praise connects us and gives us a sense of togetherness even when we're not physically together. The Preciate socials are a new and interesting way to get together--we're on Microsoft Teams all day long. In Preciate social, we can listen to some music, virtually mingle, and get to know people in a more informal way--groups can branch off and talk separately while still in the same platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

It would be helpful to be able to curate the Preciate feed a little more, perhaps to filter or see past a certain date set. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Scoot:

Really utilize all of Preciate's capabilities, and make it your own--tailor it to your company's culture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting our appreciation out in the open is so helpful--previously, our thank-yous were 1:1 based. And while it's always nice to get a personal note from a colleague, getting a fun badge with a specific subject is meaningful. And the fact that the entire organization can see it means that we can shout out our thanks to everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lydia Stevens of Scoot

Hi Stefanie! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Preciate. It's amazing to hear how Preciate has helped your team build stronger relationships and make connections no matter where people are located. I will be sure to pass along your feedback on feed filtering to the product team. Thanks again for your support!

What do you like best about Scoot?

Preciate as a platform is very cool. You can join a room where you're a small bubble floating around, and you move closer to different people to hear their conversations simulating being in a real office. The closer you get, the louder it gets, and if you move away, you no longer hear the conversation. There are rooms you can split into and host games or smaller group sessions, and overall it is a pretty decent social platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

One thing I disliked about the platform was the degrading audio and the fact only ten people could be in a small area. My work used it to host an office party where around 25 people. Sometimes you'd move next to a group and hear about an exciting story, or someone would be sharing something you wanted to see. If there were already ten people in that area, though, it would complain at you and tell you to separate. They do have a presenter mode for people to use to show off or address everyone. While I understand the audio problem, I know you have other platforms that host far more than that in a single room, so it surprised me a little that this would be an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

My organization used this platform as a way to feel like a community. With work being remote and very few of us going into offices, being able to see and interact with my new co-workers was pretty awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lydia Stevens of Scoot

Hi there! First, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback on Preciate. It is great to hear how Preciate has provided a virtual space where you and your team can feel like a community while working remotely. I will be sure to pass along your feedback on the group limit of ten to the product and engineering team. This is an area I know we are working on currently, and we will continue to iterate until we get it right! Thanks again for your review; we truly appreciate it.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

Nothing yet as I am just getting used to using preciate. I am a new user. There is a learning curve from using Zoom and teams, which is normal with any new platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mental wellness is so essential today. This is the only platform I have seen that deals with this topic. It's crucial to make webinars a more social event.

What do you like best about Scoot?

A refreshing change from zoom. Preciate works well for getting people to engage with each other directly in a remote setting. Great for side conversations; good for letting me make direct contact quickly with people on my team when a full one-on-one is too much. Great for end-of-day or end of quarter conversations when teammates want to feel and experience pride or enthusiasm from a good day or a project wrap. They can listen to you talking to someone else in a surprisingly natural way. This works great for introverts and my teammates who sometimes warm up slowly to a disucssion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

Some of my team rolled their eyes when they thought it was "another zoom". But once we got into it, they saw it was something different and that we were using it in a different way to communicate not as a replacement for zoom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it to create a warmer, collaborative, informal setting for teammates that can't be there in person. It lightens the mood almost immediately and enables people to speak frankly and conversationally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lydia Stevens of Scoot

What do you like best about Scoot?

The UX is oustanding compared to most 2D tools I've used (I was a Product Mgr for Videoconferencing back in 1995, I've seen dozens of new products come out and go), moving the flat 2D boring UX's of today into something more akin to 3D and spatially relevant group meetings, person-to-person, person-to-group, group-to-person communications - like they are in real life. Free-flowing, moving around a room, sound fading away from a group as you leave it and focusing on the person/s you now face and talk to. 3D sound and personal navigation is super innovative and (as always with innovative UIs) such a no-brainer once you see it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

At this stage it's still missing video recording, which I'm told is bring built. They have a workaround too using a third party software partner, but fully integrated would be even better. Else, no downside I can see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

We run training programmes for tech companies, helping them get funding from the world's best VCs. We run our programme in cohorts of companies, and these cohorts are broken down into groups of CEOs who work together. With Preciate the UX maps perfectly into real world workgroups and sub-groups, and gives everybody a simple, intuitive way to move from one (/sub)group to another in real time without having to enter "rooms" and disconnect. More connections, more people all working together, all in one ux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Scoot?

The ability to move around the room makes it feel like you are in an actual live room as you would in a regular in-person happy hour. I loved that aspect during Covid when our whole workforce was 100% remote as a way for all of us to be together and now as a way to connect with our remote employees. I also enjoy the toast capability, which adds a fun flare.

Customer support was very fast to respond to any questions I had and they were always super friendly! Keep it up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

What do you like best about Scoot?

Preciate offers their "Socials" as one of their coolest features. It is a really unique and fun experience. Totally different than your typical Zoom session. We use them at our company for weekly social hangouts and catching up with all our remote at-home workers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

The limit of 10 people per "group" is a pain at times since sometimes you may only have 12-15 people on a Social and if you are the 1 or 2 people left out it forces you to go make your own little group. It make sense in theory but in practice there are frequently one person in red on the outside of the group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Scoot?

It's a very cool idea to be able to move around in the "room" and talk with other people and groups. I definitely get the feel of a being at a large mixer or event where there are going to pockets of people that I can speak to. Also the volume changing dynamic is very and useful when you want to have a side conversation with someone in bigger group. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scoot?

No mobile ability is the biggest shortfall for me. I know the product is sort in a beta stage but eventually if I can use Preciate from my mobile device (with ease), that would certainly allow me to utilize it more with my work and social groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scoot solving and how is that benefiting you?

One problem I'm solving with Preciate is sustaining engagement which is hard to do in a video chat setting. i think the ability to move around and have side conversations with a specific person in group is really beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lydia Stevens of Scoot
