Top Rated Sage Timeslips Alternatives
What I like best about Sage TimeSlips is the ability to set up different settings for different clients. For example, you can change how a client is billed, the rates a client is billed, and even who is assigned to which rates based on the client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that Sage TimeSlips is a little hard to figure out at first. The software appears a bit outdated and everything is hidden behind a logo or in a menu, so it comes off as not being very user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of which I could review billing and make changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very cumbersome and confusing set-up of clients. Easier way to bill more than one person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's little redeemable about the software implementation compared to the competition. I will be honest and say its report options are the most superior when it comes to reviewing work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything else is slower, more expensive, and antiquated when compared with the other options we've explored. Switching away from them was painless and relieving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the reports you are able to generate with time slips. The data colllected is abundant and helpful to get a thorough understanding of the accounts if you select the correct reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This software seems to be more difficult and clunky to navigate than newer softwares available. Also the loading times have become unbearable to work with. I am using the 2019 version so this may not be an issue for everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Timeslips has helped our small law firm with our billing for many years. I enjoy the efficiency for getting our client bills out each month. The program itself is pretty easy to learn. It is very helpful when trying to calculate income for our new attorney staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only dislike is that there is no difference between the 2018 version to any new version thereto. I believe some of the features are a bit outdated and could use some help. One feature that is quite horrid is when you go to select clients in the "generate bills" or "prebills" section, you have to individually select each client in the list. There is no "Select all". The only feature that helps a little is that you can "exclude or include" what you have individually selected. Either way, very frustrating at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to reopen slips if you need to edit them or add more time to a previously closed slip Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The timer will continue for a very long time without any warning that it has gone over 24 hours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using Timeslips for 30 years - the upgrades are very easy to adapt to - it's not like relearning a whole new program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price and that they have not made a program for Mac users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest positive for Timeslips was the ability to use spellcheck and replace tools on time entries. I also liked the ease of navigating between time entries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We only had one person responsible for billing because our attorneys found it to be cumbersome and unintuitive to handle their own entries. The process of running and editing invoices was slow, and the ability to correct past mistakes is practically nonexistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For the most part, it does what it is supposed to do - keep track of time, generate bills, note payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our version was only accessible on PC from the office. Sometimes it would not let us undo bills, for reasons we were never able to determine. It's clunky and not very user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like that Time Slips is a single paltform we can use to generate all of our bills and get a great big picture look at our hours billed and efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that Time Slips is not that user friendly. The program feels out of date and has many things hidden away in menu after menu as opposed to being a bit more self-explanatory or user firnedly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
