I have been using Sage Accounting for over a year now and as a practice, it is the only software we recommend. The Sage products are easy to navigate, easy to train on and if you are having troubles, the team at Sage are always at hand to help. The ease of setup. Non-Accountants can set up the accounts for the company and your accounting system is ready for use. Data entry is also very easy. You can sync your bank accounts saving time. Only 2 users so you can't run the system the entire day if you have more people that have to enter data. Adding users and more companies are pricy. The stock module is also not up to standard when a cost price change you cant set the price to the last cost. It calculates the average price and your margin is wrong. We are an Accounting Firm, and we do Booking and accounting services for our clients. Sage has not disappointed; we have our clients' bank accounts linked to Sage and can trace movement, invoices are all through the Sage, at the end, I can pull out all necessary Financial Reports. Sage is complex, and you can never up and run, training is needed, and the support staff is great, and lots of learning material is available.

One of my small audit client has Sage business cloud accounting system and they like it because of the following key features:

- adding other sage services is quite easy as business progress

I have seen the client satisfactorily used it mainly for connecting bank accounts through open banking, calculating VAT and submitting VAT return, forcasting cashflows and doing stress testing and managing different business functions report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Sage loud accounting is good for small business. There are minor drawbacks including dated user interface and missing of feature like time tracking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the main page that shows what is going on with all of the accounts. I can easily spot overdue accounts and get their invoiced printed and mailed the same day! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I didn't have many issues with the software, everything is pretty easy to understand. The main issue that I found was that I couldn't 'go backwards' with invoicing to attach it to a quote (at least I couldn't get it). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We had a Sage Plus account, many features still say "coming soon". It does not feel reasonable to charge the full price for missing features. We asked to downgrade to the sage standard and were told that downgrades were not possible. We would have to create a new business email and create an entirely new profile. Work for International NGO in a multi-currency environment. This package is a dream to work with all the different countries and currencies we operate. Grant/Contract tracking is simple and easy.
