What do you like best about Ruby Receptionists?

We've been using Ruby for almost four years. It's made a world of difference having Ruby answer our calls so that our front office team can stay focused and not be pulled out of work to answer timely but not urgent inquiries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruby Receptionists?

The quality of service has gone dramatically downhill (at least for our account) over the past 10 months, while the price has gone up. We find a lot of messages are billed to us at 5-minutes call-time but the details passed to the team are scant or incorrect. Calls have become very misdirected and when we've tried to help (with better scripting, redirecting message feeds with our own automations, etc) it hasn't gotten better. This then frustrates clients, who feel like their calls aren't being taken seriously and then have to repeat themselves or try other ways of reaching us. We recently cancelled our account with Ruby and felt like they didn't even really care we were leaving (which made leaving easier, actually). This is a disappointing ending for us, especially since we had built custom automations to ingest Ruby messages and deliver them to our team in the ways they preferred to receive them (Slack, Airtable, Gmail). What problems is Ruby Receptionists solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ruby's virtual receptionist services help us manage our time as a small business without frustrating customers who expect someone to pick up on the other end of a call. As a small business, it's distracting to field solicitation calls and Ruby filters those out before they reach our team. One of the more expensive options. Receptionist quality has been decreasing, thus getting names incorrect and letting solicitors get through. Had a receptionist the other day who didn't know how to pass call to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We love not having to answer all calls, and do any gatekeeping. We're able to set parameters for Ruby on how to route or handle calls appropriately. Well worth the money! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes, not very often, but sometimes we've had a client call in and say that the person who answered the phone wasn't very friendly. However, thankfully this is a rare occurance! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ruby Receptionists?

They are pleasant answering the phone and anytime I call with changes to our account or roster they're super nice. I like that they send a confirmation email about our customer service calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ruby Receptionists?

I wish they could schedule a call-back time with people requesting a callback. We don't have individual lines so we often miss clients and then have to play the message game until they finally succumb to communicating via email, which is what we prefer. It would be ideal if they could also schedule appointments for new clients. I also wish clients had an option to leave a voice message that would then be emailed to us. Sometimes they are not willing to divulge private data to a person but would give greater detail in a private message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our staff can get their work done without constant interruptions from client calls. Existing clients know the drill, we work very well and efficiently through email. They can really only answer the phone, besides that there isn't very much they can do .. it would be ideal if they could schedule appointments, answer questions about my company, etc. Very little personalization.
