Rocket Matter is a good solution for our firm as it provides not only the minimum needed in practice management software but many additional tools to help our firm be efficient. The only downside we have experienced relates to any cloud-based software - sometimes the response times are slower than desired. This is sometimes due to our internet connection and other times due to the servers on the Rocket Matter side. But overall it is perfectly acceptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using Rocket Matter for a few years and found it to be useful when tracking billing hours, invoicing and handling high-level financial performance in my small practice. It is useful to be able to easily bill my time and send invoice to clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The system still requires a lot of manual processes. No integration with Quickbooks for Mac. Billing means making invoices, manually downloading, and then emailing them individually. Payments happen entirely offline due to limited integration and the high cost of payment processing through Lawpay. Too much for small/solo practitioners to cover. There is still limited communications available through the platform so the document portal has not been super useful and generally, my customer service requests weren't handled great. Overall it is relatively low cost but I will not be sticking around as a customer due to the number of ongoing issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My biggest problem with RocketMatter is that you have to create a new Trust account for each Matter. The software does a default trust account attached to the person's name instead of the matter title. It gets really confusing when you have multiple matters for one contact and multiple people creating the matters and not remembering to create a new trust account each time.

Since the Trust is connected to the person it also gets complicated when the Client passes and an Heir continues on with the matter. Once you change the Client's name then the Trust that was with it comes off the matter as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Updates to the functionality without prior notice, or training. There have been a lot of glitches after the most recent update, which needed to be escalated to the Engineering department to resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would like to see individual calenders per matter / user with the choice to share certain calendared items with other individuals or all. The calender tends to get overwhelming when everything appears at once. It has the ability to only see one or other users however, doesn’t allow for individual enteries to be shared with all or none.
