What do you dislike about RainFocus?

This product is the absolute worst. The good reviews are clearly fake reviews. Our small team of 9 (of graphic designers and project managers) had no idea we were going to have to stand the whole site up from scratch ourselves until after we had forked over $100k+. Up until then, we were under the impression that Rainfocus would dedicate people on their side to create the platform for our event given our direction and needs. We felt completely blind-sided. Instead we had to watch over 30 hours of grueling tutorial videos within 4 days to learn how to build a site from scratch. They don't even have templates to build a platform. They refused to allocate a person to help us build the site. They only compromised by giving us live tutorials occasionally. The event that we were planning for was launching in 4 months, which is very little time to learn how to build a site from scratch. The end result was a primitive, shoddy virtual event platform that would break every other click. Basic activities like uploading photos and bios were unpredictable.We had to scrap a whole page and recreate it once the site was already live. Overall just a poor experience. We would have been better off creating something in Wordpress. I'm still trying to understand what we paid for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RainFocus?

The reports and the dashboard are my favorite. I am on the dashboard every single day, checking the progress of my event, revenue, stats, geo data. We can pull customized reports in a snap. I'm able to give my executives the information they want, easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RainFocus?

Honestly, not much. Right now, with RainFocus, my attendees can't transfer tickets the way we need them to. We have a work-around, and it's still much easier than what we were doing with a previous reg software. However, RainFocus has been working with us to solve this problem, and on the next event we'll have it up and working. So, not a huge issue. What do you like best about RainFocus?

Rainfocus has a tech stack that is probably one of the most updated in the current event technology marketplace. As many know in event technology, we require a number of integrations across the board in order to create the most seamless event. Their thoroughly developed RESTful API (with strong documentation) is well responded to when discussing integrations with other providers. On top of that, they have kept a lot of security practices in mind, doing a lot of due diligence internally instead of requiring clients to pay for scans or penetration tests.

Their platform is extremely flexible and configurable, which makes the lives of event managers much easier to utilize as granular details and work streams can be vastly different from event to event. They also have architected their platform in such a way where it's easy to duplicate events, forms, workflows, and more through different various areas. This is especially helpful in delivering complex data structures across multiple micro-events. Rainfocus' solutions architects are also very problem-solving oriented which is super helpful to have in difficult technical challenges we face during an event delivery cycle. What do you dislike about RainFocus?

Within the platform, there are little "quirks" or minor bugs that provide little user feedback which is not ideal for those who are not as familiar with Rainfocus. There are also some technical workarounds that we sometimes have to do (which isn't always the prettiest solutions) in order to have the platform function in the way we hope to, but on the other hand - Rainfocus Product team has been receptive to the feedback and continue to add to their product road map so that everyone can benefit from these fixes. There are a few specific product features that we'd like built/ improvement on like: being able to build recommended agendas for sessions without times, out of the box content catalog imagery or text fields to cover up ugly file links, adding icons to recommended agendas, more integrations with virtual event platforms, an auto-save feature so don't have to constantly click save button, more robust file/ presentation review tool, out of the box summary reports w/ graphics based on commonly collected data, not really any big dislikes other than specific product features. Extremely flexible and configurable software, allows for the event planner to effectively manage and deploy a variety of events throughout their marketing life cycle. A sense of a Global level provides users to easily maintain and deploy the same forms and fields throughout the various events to guarantee reporting is consistent. Product has shifted focus numerous times, this leaves various modules slightly outdated and not in line with the current company ethos. What do you like best about RainFocus?

A trustworthy SaaS platform for the events industry! From day 1 I was impressed with their ADVANCED software features & dashboard capabilities. Plus, no more event management silos. This platform offers everything: Registration, messaging, content governance, exhibitor management, reporting and so much more. It’s simple and easy to use, yet robust and meets all our needs.

Our team has worked extensively with other enterprise software companies, but RainFocus far exceeded our expectations when it comes to customer service and support. They are quick, responsive and knowledgeable in their field. Our customer success manager even traveled across the country just to personally get to know each us in-person and validate all our needs were met.
