Quip enables our group to create papers and spreadsheets and make adjustments or revisions collectively as we collaborate on a project. It's excellent to be capable of crossing items off of the checklist as we do them so that the Team can monitor our progress. Our Team particularly appreciates utilising Android or iOS and getting instant notifications of new messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy all of the quip's characteristics; I have no dislikes. However, I want to see them include pre-built templates, as this would save a great deal of work for just a lot of people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frankly, Quip has all in it. What I like most in QUIP are the Kanban boards where you can add and track your projects. Previously I am using Trello for this. Now, I started using this. I love the whole INSERT utilities in the QUIP. It's like a SEA. It has a lot of potential ones that can create a to-do list, Kanban board, mentioning a person of your teammate, and more. And, the other thing is I LOVE THE UI of the QUIP. Everything is visible in front of my eyes i.e, The utility options they have pinned on the TOP BAR. In this, I have to appreciate the QUIP team for this. Might be QUIP team of R & D has dug deep Into the DATA they have collected from the various sources. Really QUIP hits a bulls-eye on this. I use this tool to make notes from my books and website blogs, my learnings, and tracking the things, and to create to-do lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes QUIP automatically gets closed by itself. It's so frustrating while I am doing the work. It takes some time for anyone to get used to it. But, it's really worth it and a game changer and increases your productivity. And, sometimes, I will be frustrated while adding the screenshots or adding pictures from my PC. It takes too much time to insert it. But, above all things are only small issues that the QUIP team is going to remove as time moves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like that Quip can directly pull information straight from Salesforce - it makes it easy to work on deals particularly as an account executive and to strategize with teammates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quip can sometimes be difficult to set up and get the full functionality out of it - the best use is in combination with the Salesforce product so you are limited if you are using another CRM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This app is very very helpful in communicating documents.....!!!!! We share and collaborate data sheets with colleagues and create a single file platform to work on, and we can have our tasks completed on time.....!!!!! It has a lot of options to edit the files like any other software but in a very efficient way.....!!!!! Also, we can have real-time communication on the files we are working on online and can see what's happening live.....!!!!! I have used this platform almost every day on my laptop, or mobile, and I have never seen any lag or any bugs in it, this is what I like the most.....!!!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although I haven't seen any bugs in it while editing the documents till now. One thing I should say, this platform is continuously upgrading and getting better.....!!!!! this platform gives you opportunities for collaboration and team sharing data with ease of access, and without any interruption.....!!!!! At last, I would say that there is nothing yet to dislike on this platform. To be honest with you all, I loved it because of its great functionalities and options.....!!!!! Adding that plug-in will surely help it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's amazing that I can write my notes and organize them in a way that will help me when I need to
recall something, and it's also amazing that I can use words to find what I'm looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you don't give quip permission to access other email accounts, The app should stop asking me for permission, keeps prompting for authorization Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Have all classic office options. And very useful for meetings with tasks and reminders.
Many available apps to make rich documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Spreadsheets are weak. Many formulas can easily freeze your browser.
Impossible to speak with any support. As salesforce product, forget to reach someone.
Currently there are some other alternatives much cheaper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quip is pretty much a more integrated, flexible version of Google Docs (quite honestly I'm surprised Google hasn't done something like this yet). Quip's biggest strengths are its core document authoring functionality, and ability to embed live spreadsheet data. It has easy linking between pages, decent simple reminders, and a good text-focused editor with a few additional features (like columns, table of contents, etc.) that are nice to have. In comparison to more modern tools like Notion, Craft, etc. its editor falls behind though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Quip has other simple tools like Kanban, etc. but these are extremely simplistic and not that useful for managing real work. The task management is also very simple and not effective for real task/project management. My biggest concern is probably the long-term viability. Since Salesforce bought it, it is probably not a very high priority given the vast, vast majority of their revenue comes from their core product. As a tiny product in a massive company, one could say that the resources of Salesforce would benefit Quip, but so often it is the opposite, small, less profitable divisions get closed for lack of value, low usage, etc. And honestly I think most people who are looking for a docs or wiki-like tool have never heard of Quip because Salesforce does little to promote it. So I have legitimate concern Quip won't be around forever, which makes me hesitant to commit to it long-term, or recommend it. The relatively slow pace of development and releases also adds to this concern. While other apps add significant new features (and almost every PKM tool now has e.g. wiki-style new page creation from links, backlinks, etc.), Quip moves much slower. Again a symptom of being part of a large, enterprise tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I like most about Quip is that everything is tied back to Salesforce. With that, you get easy intergration with pulling fields, lists, and reports, and you get excellent customer support. I also like how easy it is to integrate with Salesforce Flows/Process Builders. Our team uses this to generate specific Quip docs once an opportunity is marked as Closed. Lastlly, simple documeents are easy to set-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing I dislike the most is the lack of customization a user is able to have. The sheets are not customizable, and you cannot put custom sizes of font either. The other thing I dislike is the export functionalitiy. You cannot export in landscape view, so if you have a bigger table, you do not have the ability to share it as a PDF to other people since it will get cut off.
