"Effective balance of UI and customization but pursuit of gen AI and increasing costs are concerning"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase has a decent user interface for new and non-technical users to be able to quickly create functional data applications. At the same time, it has enough technical features such as pipelines, API, and code pages to allow for a broad range of customization in the hands of more technical users. It's a good balance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

The cost and renewal process are disheartening. It's very clear there's a price that sales needs to meet and the relative cost of users, storage, API, etc. is adjusted to reach their desired price point regardless of how you alter your usage.

The focus on adding generative AI features seems short sighted and chasing a future share price or investor money at the expense of end user value. If the response to technical questions about generative AI is "we're all just figuring it out" it shouldn't be a product release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quickbase Makes No-Code App Building Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

the best part of using quickbase is the low or no code requirement and the ease of building with no prior background. often with other softwares one of the largest constraints happens to be the learning curve required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

the lack of helpful documentation on learning the system is something that poses a challenge at my org. there are details available online but we often find it not too helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quickbase Centralizes Customer Data and Streamlines Updates"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Very useful for storing data in an organized fashion. Gives sales reps an easy to use form to both analyse customer data as well as update customer data depending on the changes they help the customers make. The connection between the applications allows for back office employees to implement updates and changes and everything be centralized in the Quickbase realm. What do you dislike about Quickbase?

As a back office employee I have run into issues with Quickbase connecting with other CRM's or things our business also uses to function outside of the Quickbase realm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Easy-to-Use Platform That Scales as You Grow"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase is flexible and easy to use, even for someone like me who doesn’t have a coding background. I’ve been able to learn the system and build apps that meet our needs without needing deep technical expertise. The platform allows me to tweak and optimize based on what I’ve learned over time, which is helpful as our priorities shift. I also appreciate the training resources, like Quickbase University and the AI tools, which make it easier to build and improve apps. The ability to ask the system to create something and then refine it has been a big plus for me. It’s also great that Quickbase can scale with us as we grow and take on new use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

There are some features that do require more technical experience and sometimes the resolution time on requests is longer than I would have anticipated. But generally speaking, this is not the case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Processes, Easy Deployment"
4/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I use Quickbase to create apps, making my business processes more efficient and interactive with various users or vendors. I appreciate that it consolidates many platforms into one, so everything can be found in a single place. I like how well it handles large data sets. It allows me to integrate different kinds of information, combining multiple processes into one for a more user-friendly experience. Everyone found the initial setup quite good and easy to use. What do you dislike about Quickbase?

I think the mobile version could be improved. It's not so interactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Portal Management, Exceptional Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I really appreciate the ease of creating the app for our clients with QuickBase. The staff at QuickBase was very knowledgeable and helpful, even bringing their own ideas to assist us in creating certain workflows that we needed. They made the process very easy. The team continued to be supportive even with ongoing changes needed after the app was created. The fact that the app had a strong starting point was also very beneficial. What do you dislike about Quickbase?

For what we use this application for, the acceptable volume of medical records could be larger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast Prototyping, but Needs Better Engineering Tools"
3/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I like how Quickbase makes it easy to stand up stuff really quickly and get it into users' hands fast. The rapid prototyping ability is really great, and I appreciate how I can interact with it through pipelines and its query API. It's good for quickly standing up apps for our internal teams and iterating on them by getting user feedback. Also, the integration with custom software and other Quickbase applications is helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

As a software engineer, I find that Quickbase breaks a lot of traditional software engineering rules, which is frustrating. For instance, you can't declare variables at the top of a pipeline and share them throughout, which I don't like. The UI could use a lot of work, especially in accessing logs and seeing how things ran. It's a painful process to sift through busy pipelines with every single step showing up, which is time-consuming. More traditional logging and the ability to search logs would be wonderful, especially when looking for specific IDs. Finally, the Solutions API is a very useful addition and I hope you continue to grow its capabilities. We have 4 environments (DEV, BETA, DEMO, and PROD) and being able to promote from one environment to another is a big help vs. by hand, but there are many more things that would be valuable there. For instance, being able to promote the ENTIRE app (schema, pipelines, and codepages) while mapping environment specific values from one environment to the next would be great. Also the ability to quickly standup a new environment and then merge its changes into another would be huge for teams of multiple developers (i.e. simulate branches in SCM tools like Git) so that multiple people can be working on a single release that will then be promoted to the next environment. "Quickbase Streamlines Project Tracking and Keeps Everything Centralized"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase makes it easier to keep track of daily progress on our projects. We’re able to log in and see exactly how much work has been done, like how many documents have been entered, and that helps us answer client questions quickly. It’s also helpful that Quickbase lets us upload our final product into file storage, so everything is organized and accessible. The ability to work remotely and still have everything centralized in Quickbase is a big plus for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Before Quickbase, we were doing everything in Excel, and it was hard to see day-to-day progress from our contractors. If a client called asking for an update, we’d have to dig through files manually, which took time. Now, with Quickbase, we can track daily progress and see exactly where things stand. It’s also helped us streamline how we manage our title reports, which are complex and involve a lot of moving parts. Quickbase has made it easier to keep everything connected and organized, from the run sheets to the mineral chains and leasehold chains. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s a step forward in making our workflow more efficient and transparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhanced Workflow with Seamless Customization"
4/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

I like how customizable Quickbase is to meet my company's needs and how easy it is to do it. I don't have to call and wait for customer service to reach back out, I can just do it myself. The amount of setup time and implementation time was clearly communicated and was met by the Quickbase team. They also encouraged and helped onboard employees throughout the whole process. Quickbase has made life a lot easier by streamlining the ordering and approval processes through our 300 farms and 100 Orderers and Approvers. It has cut down multiple hours of our Accounting team trying to track down approvals. We are now importing scheduling using AI and preset customized templates, which means our HR team no longer has to manually make schedules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

I find controlling what users are allowed to request to see challenging. I would prefer if we could lock down a certain section so they wouldn't even know they can request to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quickbase Centralizes Our Data and Streamlines Operations"
5/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase has been a good fit for us because it allows us to track and manage a lot of different types of data in one place. We started using it in 2021, and it’s been helpful for keeping everything digital, especially after the pandemic when we moved away from paper records. I like that it’s flexible and customizable, so we can adapt it to our needs. For example, we’ve been able to use it for tracking attendance, inventory, and even gift cards by scanning barcodes. It’s also nice that it works well across different teams and departments, which is important for us since we have a lot of moving parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Before Quickbase, we had to rely on paper records for everything, which was time-consuming and inefficient. Even after moving to digital records, we were still printing forms for signatures and then scanning them back into the system, which felt like a waste of time and resources. With Quickbase, we’ve been able to keep all our enrollment and intake forms digital, which saves us a lot of extra work and paper.

Another challenge was tracking attendance and services. Right now, teachers manually mark attendance on weekly sheets, and we don’t have a way to track when clients enter or leave the building. Quickbase has helped us start exploring solutions for these issues, like using barcodes or QR codes to track check-ins and check-outs. It’s also helped us manage inventory, like tracking the distribution of diapers or gift cards.

Overall, Quickbase has made it easier to centralize our data and streamline processes. It’s not perfect, and there are still things we’re working on, like making sure new features are user-friendly for everyone, but it’s been a solid tool for organizing and managing our operations.
