The material they cover in the lecture style content strikes an appropriate balance of depth and approach-ability. The interface is easy to navigate. The video playback speed can be increased. They provide labs where you actually go into AWS to accomplish tasks (on their dime). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I paid for Cloud Academy specifically to prepare myself and two team members for the AWS Machine Learning Specialist certification, so that was the track we followed and what my review is based on.
First, some of the content is out of date:
• Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Amazon Machine Learning – this course focuses on a discontinued offering from AWS which has been entirely replaced by AWS Sagemaker. New customers have no access the old Machine Learning platform at all. So not only is this whole course useless in exam prep, it features fairly heavily in the ‘practice exam’ offered in the course.
• Introduction to Amazon Rekognition – aspects of this training (we sent in comments about this) were out of date with the way the offering currently works.
Second, the balance of content doesn’t reflect the actual exam:
• While Cloud Academy provided a whole section on IAM, this represented a very small fraction of the actual exam. The exam had a lot of focus on the usage of VPC, however, which is never covered despite there being courses available on Cloud Academy on this topic.
• Storage Fundamentals for AWS dives into the multiplicity of offerings around S3 with some coverage on EBS and EFS. The actual exam treats S3 as a single offering and asks questions around S3/VPC. The exam ask a *lot* about Kinesis and it’s offerings which are not included in the track despite there being courses available.
• The practice exam at the end asks a lot of very specific questions about exact usage of tools like Rekognition/Lex (like what the exact API call is) but the exam treats these as easy, slide-in solutions without concerning itself beyond the key offerings. Missing from the Cloud Academy track (and overall it looks like) is coverage of Comprehend, Transcribe, Translate.
• Nothing about serverless (Lambda specifically) is part of the offering.
• Coverage of AWS Sagemaker is limited to a single lab when it would benefit from a full course covering the Notebook offerings, Training Jobs, Inference Endpoints and Hyperparameter Tuning. Actually, it would be great if there was a course on hyperparameter tuning at all. These are all topics that appear frequently in the exam.
Other Notes:
• While the labs are slick in the sense that I actually get to go to AWS and practice stuff, the Sagemaker, CPU/GPU and Style Transfer with MXNet labs are just copy/paste exercises with no opportunity to dig in beyond following the exact instructions. I believe these would benefit from providing people with the code/instructions to do it on their own account as follow-up.
• The audio balancing in the material isn’t great, we all struggled to hear and understand some of the instructors even with the volume maxed out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

there is nothing such draw back in using this Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cloud Academy has helped me reskill and upskill myself in the IT, project management and cloud computing spaces. I have used the ITIL Foundation, Azure and Microsoft Security learning paths to renew my AZ-700 Azure Network Engineer Associate, SC-200 Security Operations Analyst, ITIL 4 Foundation and ITIL 4 Create, Deliver and Support certification exams. Furthermore, I have used the DevOps Foundation, scrum master, and product owner learning paths to pass my DevOps Foundation and Scrum Fundamentals Certified certifications. I highly recommend Cloud Academy to anyone who is vested in staying current. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A few times the lessons could be outdated; but, Cloud Academy is very responsive. They take my feedback and incorporates those changes. That is why I keep using them for my professional development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The excellent online learning environment known as CloudAcademy has completely changed the way I think about cloud education. It provides an unmatched learning experience with its thorough courses, practical labs, exams, and user-friendly design. CloudAcademy is a priceless tool that can help you accomplish your objectives, whether you're a beginner trying to learn more about cloud computing or an experienced professional looking to upgrade our skills. Limited offline accessibility: Since CloudAcademy is primarily an online platform, access to courses and resources is mostly reliant on an internet connection. For those who want or need to learn in settings with little to no internet connectivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The video lectures are very indepth and simple to understand. Also, the course paths created for various certifications are very appropriate and helpful considering the standards of the exam. Cloud Academy also provides access to hands on labs after every few modules, and we actually get to exercise all that we learned, and this is the best part about Clous Academy. There are tests after every few modules (atleast for AWS Certification Coursee that I did) and that helps to gain clear insight about our preparation level for those module concepts. We get to know which topics we need to focus on or which are our strong or weak areas. At the end of the certification course, there was a proper complete test which resembled the original certification test. The level of questions, the focused topics, the type of answer options for the question, the time alloted and cloud academy test interface was all very similar to original certification test. This was very helpful for my certification and was like a mock test which helped me boost my score in original test and thus, I could pass my test. These are the things I liked about Cloud Academy. The content provided in the course are a little too exhaustive, so if a learner has less time then it would get very difficult to study. Because of long length of the course, at times lectures can get boring for the learner and motivation to complete the course might decrease. These are the things that I dislike or would want Cloud Academy to improve on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cloud Academy has provided a treasure trove of valuable applicable learning and hands on application of cloud securty operational Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP). Hands down this is the number one platform to learn and develop cloud technologies, services and features, acrosss vendor specific environments--AWS, AZURE, GCP, and more. Cloud Academy is certainly an valuable investment in your future professional and career development. I have not encountered any issues with connectivity or accessabilty to learning platform and environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not a single dislike, issue, or concern thus far with Cloud Academy. Please keep up the amazing work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Certification Paths are precise and easy to sift through along with the hands-on labs. I have cleared Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and Certified Kubernetes Administrator by following the Cloud Academy training paths. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The english is very fast when author is explaining. Sometimes i had to turn on the subtitles to understand. I look forward to taking more trainings from Cloud Academy, provided the english is clearly audible across courses for each module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The way they provide content with the help of videos, material and the best part is doing handson via labs makes you knwoledge enough.
Comparing with others by ease of content design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be very honest i dont have much but there are small glitches happend to me when im using labs.
That was very well resolved by the team. No improvements needed. Going great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Video lectures are pretty good. They are comprehensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing that I disliked is that the slides for every video lectures were not provided. Slides helps in making notes and during revision it is helpful to go through the slides. Since, there are numerous video lectures therefore it becomes difficult the make hand-notes. It would be great if slides are provided as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The courses I've been taking have been very informative and through on all of the knowledge I need for the certification I am taking. It is better than other course I have taken. In particuliar the labs have been very good at help me understand the material. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish I was able to follow along a transcript as the video's are played.
However, they do have the transcript, I jest need tom copy it and reformat it to be able to use it. not ideal but doable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The website features interactive lessons and labs, course examples from different industries, and tests that validate your knowledge. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and provide invaluable guidance throughout the course material.
The self-paced learning format makes it easy to fit learning into your schedule while still getting the same instruction as in a traditional classroom setting. You can also access industry-related content such as articles, videos, and blogs which offer additional insight into various topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cloud academy's lab time-out feature can be a problem for some users; it can be due to various reasons, such as a slow internet connection Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
