Python 3 Minimal with Debian 10 Pros and Cons

You tell your operating system package manager that you want Python 3. It gets you Python 3. That's how getting software should be. If you don't have any special requirements about what minor version you need, then this will do. Oh and did you know, python3-minimal is already installed in 94% of Debian systems? If you need something from a very recent minor version, then get Python from another source. And it's going to be fiddly if you need to do that. Also, if you're not root on the computer, then you can't have APT install it for you. Python 3 is pretty unobjectionable though, so you could probably convince your sysadmin to install it.
