Attention to detail matters, and Proxyclick's developers obviously get this. The details add up. For example, if the sign-in iPad is inactive for half a minute, it reverts to the original screen, but only after displaying an unobtrusive countdown in the corner to make it clear what's about to happen. Or on the administration webpage when viewing a list of visitors I mouse over the "checked-in" status of a visitor and "Check out" rolls into view, making it clear that I can manually check out a visitor myself simply by clicking. Not only are these nice touches visually appealing, they make the product intuitive. I've always admired Apple's products in that there is no need to even write a user manual.
