Powerful control over how the prototype will function, making it possible to create a prototype that feels very close to the real thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It takes more time to set up basic things like button states (normal, hover, click, etc) compared to competitors. No support for video camera on desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I loved how Protopie allows users to create experiences with advanced interactions, such as camera access, voice, accelerometer access, interaction between devices, etc. All without traditional coding, although variables allow users to create more complex interactions with logic. There are even some 3d tools that I was not able to explore as well!
Before Protopie, we either had simple and fast prototype tools (Invision, Figma) and complex ones involving code (Framer, Origami). I believe the tool hits the sweet spot between ease of use and powerful features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Interaction with Figma is still clumsy. I'd usually prefer to recreate the interfaces directly on Protopie to ensure the prototype worked 100% correctly.
When I used the tool in 2019, there were not many materials and tutorials available on the web. However, I've seen a much bigger community online for learning and sharing knowledge today. The growing community is useful since a good way of learning how to make a complex interaction is by downloading existing prototypes and inspecting their solutions. It was very easy to use the software as someone newer to high fidelity prototyping. I also like how well it worked with Adobe XD, but I will say you need both programs for a solid design. On its own the designing process is finicky and a little frustrating, but together it's very easy to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way to do group work could be greatly improved. Only one person at a time could work on our app and it made the process slower than it needed to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is a pretty new concept of a very simple but effective prototyping tool for establishing interactions among versatile interfaces seamlessly. There are several workshops and tutorial videos to make you skilled in using the ProtoPie interface. You can download the software with a 30days free trial. The software is extremely useful to visualize the user interface to mimic the user experience effectively. The built-in library is also helpful to automate operations among different synchronous systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a new software, there are very few things that I dislike. Of course, the built-in graphics art and tool library needs to be enriched. Also, opportunities for creating very hardcore animations are still limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ProtoPie is super simple to pick up, and allows me to create super realistic prototypes, which helps with stakeholders and user-testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Depending on the size of your file, sometimes it can take a while to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the Figma plugin of Protopie. I can easily export screens from Figma to Protopie. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike their difficulty level. Their app really isn't beginner-friendly. They need to improve tutorials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I liked that it has a lot of tutorials available, and I can import files directly from Adobe XD or Sketch. It's very easy to learn the basics of micro animations and make very interesting transitions that would take a lot of time to make in other software like Adobe Aftereffects. The animations are In addition, it has 30 days free trial that gives enough time to the user to test the software features, and afterward around $13 per month which is very cost-effective. Making advanced animations might become tricky sometimes and hard to make. Also, I wish I could add more editors in the free version. Currently, the max number of editors in the free version is limited to 2 users which makes it harder to use it in the university while many students are hesitant to pay and have to find alternative software because of that. The best thing is the ability to build mobile prototypes that use not only screens for interaction but also mobile sensors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price is definitely the show-stopper.
Lack of teamwork support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
