I use this software because it has very good security settings and it's continuously evolving to the new findings, and does it job very well, not just handling the file transfers but all the logging associated to it.

MOVEit File Transfer is very reliable but the performance can be a downside when handling many files and saving them on a remote repository. Also, there are some user managing operations that can only be done 1 user at a time, and this should be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am a Moveit Administrator in my organization from 4+ years. This is a revenue cycle management company that requires millions of files transfer on a daily basis.

I am pleased to say that MoveIT automation has significantly reduced the time it takes for a develoment team to develop scripts that can transfer larger number of files to various client/vendor SFTPs.

Also, the integration and implementation is the best piece. With every update, the security and the features are enhanced which keeps us excited.

We are also implementing MoveIT transfer in our environment this year, replacing our current SFTP system. Already, the features Transfer supports is a great add on which we are looking to gain.

There are a few times when getting hold of customer support executive was a little time consuming. Also, I would like to suggest that whenever there are new upgrades, we would like to set up a pre-upgrade call with the support, discussing the pre-requisites and the features in the upgrade version.

MOVEit Automation is one of the best managed and secure tools for effortless, reliable file transfer workflows. It offers built-in encryption, PGP support, and signature validation, making it easy to implement while ensuring compliance. The intuitive interface makes setup and use straightforward, even across complex environments.

File transfers to various destinations—such as local LAN, FTP, SFTP, Microsoft Azure, and AWS—are seamless. I’m currently running two instances with around 850 tasks and 65 hosts, including connections to 15 Azure and 10 AWS environments, as well as data exchanges with over 20 reinsurance companies and 10 banks and financial institutions across North America.

Customer support is excellent—responsive, knowledgeable, and prompt in resolving issues or answering queries. Overall, MOVEit has been a reliable backbone for our secure file automation needs.

The user interface is clean, simple, and easy to navigate, making workflow creation straightforward. One feature I’d love to see in future updates is version control or a draft-and-release workflow. This would help track changes to tasks—especially when using drag-and-drop components—so accidental modifications can be easily rolled back without revalidating the entire workflow. With the many options for doing things in MOVEit Automation, it can be a bit confusing. A traditional task is reasonably straightforward, while advanced tasks offer more power but don't seem to abide by the same logic, sometimes causing unexpected outcomes. My companies user base loves the Cloud Based MoveIt! IT is always up, never down and is frequently used by our employees. Probably the best thing about it is it's ease of use which makes the adoption rate very high by all users. Uploading, downloading, requesting and sharing are all very easy to perform. The limited role options in administrative user creation. Only being able to be an Admin, FileAdmin or user is very limiting. I would like to see a Help Desk role implemented so I dont have to have Admin level users perform basic password resets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
