ProductPlan is intuitive and easy to use. With some help from ProductPlan, our team came up to speed quickly and very effectively share their roadmaps internally to Technology and Business partners.
We receive excellent support and guidance (our CSM Jack does a great job!) and ProductPlan has really worked with us, spending time to show us how best to use their product. They listen to feedback and are very transparent with when we could expect new features/improvements
ProductPlan has added numerous features to be very competitive with other road mapping tool venders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ProductPlan has been actively adding features to their product to make for a much more robust tool. That is a very good thing.
We currently have the Professional licenses (limited budget) so we'll miss out on some of the newer features unless we are able to upgrade to Enterprise level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Product is easy to use and solves the core business needs we were hoping it would solve. Team is receptive to feedback on the product and feedback is incorporated into the product roadmap, which I really appreciate. CSM (Isabelle) is helpful, responsive, and a wonderful partner to work with. Implementation and tool adoption were successful and easy. We use this daily within Tech to track delivery of our roadmp. I've given specific feedback to Isabelle so it's all captured elsewhere -- a couple of examples include a) I would like to see the Jira integration work better and the percent complete show accurately and b) the ability to drag columns in portfolio views would be very helpful. Macro-level I like ProductPlan as a tool and we use it as a core part of how we operate within Tech. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ProductPlan is relatively intuitive to learn and has some great functionality for creating simple roadmap views to communicate planned work easily. It's a relatively easy tool to implement and onboard users to. The ProductPlan team is really easy to reach out to, and willing to help provide resources and training to improve adoption. The current feature set has some limitations: the limited ability to customize roadmaps, the hiding of standardized legends when not in use, the inability to standardize lanes, and the fact that some of the "description" fields in the roadmap bars/containers are simple text boxes that could easily be updated for a more dynamic experience.
While the Jira integration is great, it needs some additional work to make it more flexible for teams to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product is okay, but we no longer need it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I contacted the support team to request that they close my account and downgrade it to free. However, it's been 7 days since I first reached out, and I received a reply from Daniel stating that he had contacted the finance department. Three days ago, I followed up, and Daniel said that he would continue to contact the finance department. After that, I received another email asking me to rate the quality of the service. Anyone who has used customer service knows that this email is only received when the support process is complete. Why are you closing the support ticket when I haven't received a satisfactory response yet?
It seems that ProductPlan is intentionally not allowing me to downgrade my account. If I'm not mistaken, this is the third time I've requested to cancel my account, but they keep ignoring my request and not resolving it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Intuitive and easy to use UI, responsive and helpful customer service and good integration possibilities. Constantly evolving product with good improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes difficulties working with integrating items from 3rd parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use/learn. Easy to move items around. I like that we have company standardized drop downs/data fields but that my product roadmap also has flexibility to add a few additional drop downs that are specific to my product needs, this is a nice feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Product Plan is great for situations where the roadmap view is covering 3-5 teams. My organization has elected to use each Lane as a team and we have 10. It becomes clunky and hard to see everything when more lanes are added.
My organization has also elected to standardize Bar/Container Focus colors by Initative/Feature Type (New feature, tech debt, feature enhancement, etc). It is very challenging to distinguish what stage a bar/container is in (Discovery, Design, Dev, Roll-out) without clicking on bars individually and drilling in. (I have played with other views). This makes it difficult to present to execs and I find myself adding text to the title Feature.xyz(Design) for example... Perhaps you could incorporate icons or another visual way to the bar/container in roadmap view to quickly identify stage, without having to drill in to each bar/container.
When you do click on a bar, it would be nice to be able to expand the window and increase the size to fill more of the screen, we typically present in View mode and would be nice to have this be larger when sharing screens on meetings.
If anyone would like to reach out to me I would be happy to share my screen and examples of our company roadmaps. Our company is large with many different products so our use case my not be the norm.
Overall I have been enjoying the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Navigating ProductPlan initially posed a slight learning curve, but its user-friendly features won me over. While pricing felt steep, the benefits outweigh. Social Book support mitigated integration hiccups swiftly, enhancing my overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to learn and use. It is also easy to share a well-formated PDF of the roadmap with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am a big fan of concise roadmap planning; ProductPlan is the perfect tool I have used for years. The best feature is the ability to rank products for consideration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
