Top Rated POWERPREP II Alternatives

Powerprep II has tons of features that make it a MUST have for any student taking the GRE. However, the best part of the software is that it gives you two FREE tests that are modeled on the actual GRE, and it is also timed, so you get a real feel of the actual test day and prepare yourself for the experience. The on-screen calculator on Powerprep is very difficult to use and can be made much more easier to use. Also, ETS needs to update the software with new tests or give the option to buy more "PAID" tests for candidates who want to practice more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This tool mocks the real GRE test and offer the test taker an insight into the problem type. It's quite useful for these who prepare for the GRE for the very first time. You shall receive a unofficial score telling you where you should get improved. Also, the timing indicate how fast you should finish the tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are only two available mock tests. There should be more mock tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am not a fan of standardized tests, so I cannot say I like anything about ETS. The website is easy to navigate, provide useful information and that is pretty much it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is so expensive that is almost ridiculous. For a computer-based program, they make a lot of money. When I took my GRE exam there were TWO employees working during the entire duration of my exam, and about 8 people taking the test. Paying people' salary does not justify the huge amount of money we pay for each exam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Powerprep II is produced by the creators of the GRE, so you know it is the closest experience to the actual test, both in terms of features and quality of test questions. The software comes with 2 Full Length GRE practice tests, and the questions have the same level of difficulty as the original test, so it is the perfect tool to assess your skill level and how prepared you are for the test day. Additionally, the program provides the option to time both tests (or untime them) and an onscreen calculator, so you can train yourself under timed conditions for best results. The program in general feels a little outdated and can become more user friendly by improving the GUI. Also, needs more tests for more practice and better results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Powerprep II is known as the best software in training students for ETS based Graduate Record Examination or GRE. The most liked part in Powerprep is that it is officially from ETS and if free for training. The look and feel of software gives more confidence in students with taking practice tests.

Powerprep II is the official software of Educational Testing Services, and it has full GRE practice tests that help evaluate skill levels as well as needed pace of preparation. The quality and level of difficulty of both verbal and quantitative portions of the practice tests is very close to the actual difficulty level of the test. Also, it is free, which makes it a winner for anyone planning on taking the GRE exam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's good but somewhat difficult to install and operate. Once it gets going, it runs fine (except for the occasional crash). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best feature i like in powerprep II is the look and feel of actual exam. Powerperp has two free tests with timed and untimed first and timed second text. The software also gives you a analysis of your test at the end which will help in improving your score to the best of your ability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Powerprep II has everything in place but one thing that i fell to be improved is the number of tests to be taken. This is the only feature that i expect to be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its so easy to use and the interface is just simple clicks of a button. Also, when you have to change the course or end the section in the say the Reading section of GRE you can just click the end button and move to the next section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The back button is sometimes laggy and has bugs. Also, the interface looks old and primitive. It needs to be fixed and bought up to date to the current GUI standards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PowerPrep II contains limited test practice material for the GRE, and since it is the official ETS program, I would recommend it to anyone who is planning on taking the GRE. If you are taking the GRE using a computer, you should practice using PowerPrep, because it is the absolute closest approximation of the GRE test environment. There are a limited number of tests that you can take on PowerPrep - this limits how much you can prepare, and you will want to be strategic when in your studying you choose to use PowerPrep. The interface itself isn't very good, except in that it approximates the equally-not-good interface that the you will have to take the GRE on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
