From all the presentations I have seen at RealizeLive it seems as the best tool. In fact, at my company Epiroc we have started looking into getting Polarion for our R&D business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As of now I have not seen any disadvantages. Looks like when users are having need for fixes or new features, Siemens will meet the needs and provide improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Polarion is very flexible and end-user friendly. You can configure it to your needs and build it up so that it is scalable. Due to it's complexibility it can be used to connect the whole develpment process and make it transparent and tracable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The administration (in the backend) is a bit tricky and not as "user"-friendly as the UI for the end-user. To build it up from the scratch it would be helpful to have e.g a few decision charts connectet to solutions or best practice, because the first base and infrastructure is essential. I like the simple connection with other corporate ALM tools that use requirements data. This makes it simple to expand into Polarion's Test Management solution or other out-of-the-box extensions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In Polarion REQUIREMENTS, the ordering of requirements is typically based on their position in the hierarchy. However, if you are missing the ordering case structure, you may want to consider manually reordering the requirements in the hierarchy. To do this, you can simply drag and drop requirements within the hierarchy to the desired position, but this process is a bit time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
