What is Planable?

Planable is a social media collaboration platform that brings teams and brands together under one roof. WHAT ARE THE MAIN FEATURES OF PLANABLE? At its core, Planable is the product of three people who experienced the same social media management hurdles in their agency days. Consequently, Planable designed its main features with teams in mind. WYSIWYG Planable follows a WYSIWYG design philosophy, focusing on simplicity, elegance, and efficiency. Everything is one click away and in the same place — no need to clutter your browser with dozens of tabs. FOUR WAYS TO VIEW CONTENT Social media campaigns have lots of moving parts. This makes having an accurate overview of campaigns all the more important. Planable’s four ways to view content allow teams to literally vizualize their work quickly and effortlessly: 1. Feed view. Designed to mimic the feel and flow of social media. Displays posts exactly as they appear on feeds. 2. Calendar view. Get a helicopter view of campaigns and plan posts days and months ahead. Scheduling content is as simple as dragging and dropping it to its relevant time slot. 3. List view. Offers a quick view of posts across all pages and the ability to do bulk actions. In this view, users can see a snippet of the caption, the status of the posts, the author, and the date and time of publishing. 4. Grid view. The place to plan and preview Instagram posts. Also great for designing beautiful Instagram grids hassle-free. SEAMLESS TEAM COLLABORATION With Planable, collaboration is the name of the game. Collaboration happens right next to the post, where it makes sense, in the form of comments and replies. Teams can tag each other to share their thoughts, drop files, and any relevant assets. With internal notes, teams can keep their work away from the client’s eyes until all the posts’ rough edges have been shaved. MULTI-LEVEL APPROVAL PROCESSES With Planable’s approval workflows, no post sees the light of day until it’s 100% ready. Every team has its own dynamic, so Planable offers one of four approval workflows: 1. None. For one-person ventures and teams that don’t need an approval workflow. 2. Optional. For flexible teams that don’t necessarily need an approval workflow but want one in place just in case. Team members can request approval from the people in charge with a single click. If the designated approver is not available, they can go ahead and schedule and/or publish posts on their own. 3. Required. No post goes live without the approval of managers. Especially useful for marketing teams who work with clients. 4. Multiple levels of approval. Teams that select this option can set as many levels of approval as they need. Each level can have one or multiple approvers. When one of them gives their approval, the post is pushed to the next level until all the relevant parties have vetted the content. What do you like best about Planable?

I like the ease of being able to schedule posts. I also like that it's a very easy platform to use and that it doesn't take a lot of technical knowledge to be able to use all of the features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Planable?

There is nothing that I can say wrong about planable. Maybe change the app to be a little less clunky and be able to do everything you can do on the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Planable solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Planable?

Approval settings for clients are game-changing. This, as well as the comment section (and differentiating internal comments vs. public) have been very beneficial for my workflows, and are the main reason I use Planable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Planable?

I don't understand why I have to filter posts every time I log in. To me, I always want my posts to be sorted by what's scheduled in the platform, and then the posts without dates can be unorganized at the top -- but I also want to be able to move them to a specific position and lock them in place. I like to move things to see what looks good, but once I have the grid planned out I want it to stay that way. Right now it seems every time I log-in it looks different and it's incredibly frustrating.

I also wish I could simply drag and drop images from my desktop directly into the grid instead of having to upload them into the media library, and then compost individual posts. Planoly does this better than Planable in my opinon.

I also don't like that once I've created a post for IG, I can't simply add other platforms to it (for example if I wanted to cross-post it on Facebook but I forgot to check the FB button when I initially composed it, I have to re-compose the entire post. This slows me down and is quite frustrating.

Finally, I do think it's quite expensive and wish it was cheaper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Planable solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workflows between myself and my clients are much more streamlined which helps me to manage my time better and avoids so much back and forth with clients over text or email. What do you like best about Planable?

I have been using Planable for my Agency ever since. My Clients totally love it and it is so easy for my team to schedule and do edits on posts. Very convenient and makes life easier for all of us! What do you dislike about Planable?

What do you like best about Planable?

I've used several social media tools from Tailwind and Hootsuite, to Buffer. I've found that Planable.io is the best solution because of the ability to have comment threads on each post, as well as the ability to keep comment threads and post proposals separate from clients when I'm developing the content in-house with my team. They also have the option to apply categories and tags which makes organizing content by themes a breeze. Pair that with the ability to keep content from going out until it is approved, as well as the ability to drag and drop posts in the calendar, and the ease of use of this platform is far preferred over the other solutions I've tried. I also like the sorting features for viewing, and the ability to sync and remove sync on posts going out to multiple platforms. It's a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Planable?

The only downside with planable.io has to do with the fact that you cannot archive projects. There is only the option to delete. I would prefer that projects can be archived like Basecamp does. Also, videos do not automatically upload to Vimeo if they are in the cinema aspect ratio. They will only be automated if they are 1:1. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Planable?

What I love about Planable is the ability to visually see, plan, and curyate feeds across all platforms. This is especially great on Instagram (and especially for visual people). I also like the fact that I can have a streamlined approval process for my clients. The feature of syncing captions across all platforms (or not) is helpful too. I am also a HUGE fan of the multiple workspaces and ability to categorize by client/company. So helpful for someone like me who works with a variety of accounts and clients. What do you like best about Planable?

The comment feature! This allows us to work in a collaborative + speedy fashion that our clients love. Both internal + external facing, it's been fantastic. Through being able to comment back + forth, all email communication has been removed + our team is able to leave detailed notes for revisions + idea planning. We've removed all need for emails, google docs + other forms of communication for content calendars. Everything is handled through Planable! Our clients love this - they just get a notification saying they need to review our work + they can quickly leave comments / approve. We're heard that other agencies (who don't use a scheduling system) can have a long review process and this is time the client just doesn't have to spend. You can actually reschedule posts and also you could create recurrent posts. We've covered this info on the link below:
