"Grounded AI for Strategic Product Development"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

When I started using Perplexity, I really liked that I could reference where it got its answers from, providing a sense of groundedness that helped me choose Perplexity over other AI bots. Over time, I appreciated the ability to have different models available on Perplexity. The availability of the latest models immediately after their launch is also something I highly value. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

Image generation is something which I feel Perplexity lacks. It's not as good as Gemini. The fact that it can't generate PDFs well enough is another issue. I know they can generate PDFs and docs now, but I have issues a lot of times when they said they generated something, but it never actually was generated. There are a lot of integrations available already, but I would like more such as Snowflake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Source-Cited Answers That Turn Messy Topics Into Clear Summaries"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

What I like best about Perplexity is how quickly it gets me from a vague question to a usable answer with sources I can actually verify. The cited results and follow-up suggestions make it easy to go deeper without opening 15 tabs, and I can turn a messy topic into a clear summary in minutes. I use it daily to sanity-check information, compare options, and draft first-pass notes for emails and docs, especially when I’m short on time but still need to be accurate. I also use it as my assistant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

Sometimes Perplexity can be a bit too detailed for what I need. Even when I ask for a short, high-level answer, it may still return a long response with lots of citations and extra context, which slows me down when I’m trying to move quickly.

Another limitation for me is that it can’t easily read or follow context across other threads/conversations, so I end up repeating background and re-explaining the same details. I’d love more consistent controls for “keep it brief” (strict length and fewer sources) and better cross-thread context support or a way to reference prior threads when needed. "Versatile and Fast, But Occasionally Incomplete"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I use Perplexity daily to help me understand what's going on across different industries that I track and for recipes and meal planning. I enjoy using it for deeper research on topics I come across during the day where I want to learn more. Perplexity gives me an experience with AI using different references and sources, which gives me greater confidence that I'm getting useful and accurate information. It does this very quickly, saving me a lot of time. The app is on my iPhone and Mac, and I can access it from browsers on other computers, making it a very easy experience. I like its voice technology, which allows me to put Perplexity on speaker and ask it questions while I'm cooking, enabling multitasking as it gives me insights as I work. The initial setup was easy and instant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I have found that in the last six months, the quality of some of the outputs are either abbreviated or not completely. I've had to ask Perplexity if it could verify its answers from a previous response, and often they will be corrected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Valuable Insights with Some Growing Pains"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I really like that Perplexity includes their sources. In my line of work, the accuracy of information is super important, so this feature allows me to quickly refer back to the original source document to verify that the information is, in fact, true. This makes analyzing and screening for actual insights much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I don't like that there's frequent UI changes, and it seems like also recently one of the models has been changed out or some prompting changes have been made that have led to the prompts that I have been using previously to significantly degrade in performance. And, it feels like Perplexity has just been rambling rather than giving me the output that I would have expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Research with Precision"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I use Perplexity mostly for research, especially when I need to reference a scientific claim. It significantly speeds up the process of searching through references manually. I appreciate its accuracy since the output nearly always cites the right papers with the correct links. I also enjoy using Deep Research for more involved projects and appreciate how it can turn dull spreadsheets into interactive dashboards. The time-saving aspect is really important for me because while I could do these tasks with other tools, Perplexity speeds the whole process up. The initial setup was super easy, with no issues at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I think more use cases. I'd like to see examples where Perplexity adds value compared with other language models I use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity: Time Saving with Useful Integrations"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I like to use Perplexity mainly as an intelligent search engine, as it saves me time in deep research about my clients, their industries, and the signals and trends that may impact them. Its ability to connect with tools like Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Statista is excellent, as it allows me to access work documents and quickly link them with Perplexity to draft and develop proposals or reports. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

The voice function doesn't work very well, the Spanish accent is very bad and also when I want to interact with it in the car it's a problem, it's not always smooth. If you manage to improve the experience of interacting with the car mode and voice, it would be a hit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity: Streamlined R&D, Exceptional Usability, but Room for Integration"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I guess what I like the most about Perplexity is its ease of use. It's very straightforward. Perplexity has been really good in allowing us to use it across the team, and we iterate together throughout the product. We use it almost like in an information management kind of way and as a source of truth, checking statistics and data points. For our scientific research, we constantly pull information from third-party websites using it. Right now, my favorite aspect is the combination with Comet, which is so powerful and unique. I think Perplexity has a really great way of adapting to my personal writing style and tone, so I often use it for creating the initial structure for a LinkedIn post or to build prompts for videos. I use it extensively on a daily basis for many different aspects of our business, and it's a critical piece of our technology platform. I think the initial setup was very easy, and I was impressed with it. The way it supports security is really straightforward, and I love how Perplexity incorporates new features and gets the team to use them effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I would like to see Perplexity improve in understanding more complex prompt architecture. It would be helpful to have versioning of prompts and a workflow to manage and compare them over time. Also, Perplexity is not as seamless in code building compared to other platforms. Its integration with open-source environments and tools like Calendaring and video platforms is lacking as well. It doesn't support standards like Caldev or video standards like SIP, which limits its utility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Discovery Partner for Informed Decisions"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I use Perplexity for everything from deep account research to understanding what's happening in the market around us. It's a great tool to get general information on things I might otherwise be wrong about at first. It's my best discovery partner, helping me understand not just what I want to know, but how to understand things better by identifying gaps in my understanding and supporting those gaps with research. I like that I don't have to rely on the anecdotes or opinions of others to sway my decision-making because Perplexity provides very good information that helps me form my own conclusions. I really appreciate being able to customize it and trigger daily information runs. Plus, it basically replaces other providers like Google for searching and getting answers, which is a huge plus. Dictation is super helpful too—I can just talk to it and get answers without needing to search the right way with prompt engineering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I would love to see how we can bring it into the command line. Because I think that that would complement other ways that I work with AI really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Research Tool with a Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I love that Perplexity offers multiple sets of models, including the latest ones, which I can use. The labs feature is something I love overall, especially how it allows for prototyping and takes it to the next level. I appreciate how context sharing helps protect my team's time by allowing us to use shared contexts efficiently. The multistep processes in the labs feature are also great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I still miss out on features like plot code and certain types of outputs I directly want to use. For example, if I want something in a better voice or how Claude writes emails, those features are sort of missing. If there was access to similar features, I would consider canceling my Claude subscription, but that's not the case yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformative Search Engine with Trustworthy Citations"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

Perplexity is my go-to search engine and is the starting point for most of my research and questions. I trust Perplexity's responses because it provides citations with links to every fact it claims, which gives me confidence that the info is accurate and up to date. The fact and link citation is key to me, and their news sourcing is great, surfacing really obscure info that's highly dialed in to my interests. Using other LLMs as a search replacement feels like a black box, but with Perplexity, I know where the information is coming from. The setup was super easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

The links can sometimes be buried, making it hard to get a list of resources to other websites because Perplexity tries to keep me on their page. Labs is an interesting idea but I rarely use it. Also, deep research could go deeper; I haven't seen anything go as deep as what ChatGPT can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
