"Real-Time Updates, Needs Better Link Sources"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I really like how Perplexity consistently pulls in the newest information online. It’s super helpful whenever I’m writing and need to verify details in real time. It also keeps me up to date with the latest news, which I find better than other tools I use, like OpenAI.

Another big plus is being able to choose between different AI models inside Perplexity. I appreciate that it’s not limited to just one model, because having multiple options gives me more freedom depending on what I’m trying to do. Its deep research capabilities are especially valuable when I’m comparing products before buying something, since it helps me quickly put together a list of prices and websites without much effort.

For everyday questions, it’s easy to use, and it’s also great for editing emails because it helps me draft replies quickly. Overall, these features make it a perfect fit for my needs. Performance has been quite good for me, and it feels very fast. It’s also very cheap compared to other AI tools.

Onboarding was easy and quick as well, and it seems like they’re adding integrations almost every couple of days. There’s always something new, so in general I’m really enjoying it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

Sometimes when I ask for something, it doesn’t give me enough information. For example, if I just want to go to a website, in Google I can type something like “Berlin restaurants” and it will list links right away. In Perplexity, it still gives an answer, but sometimes the links aren’t there at all, or the links are missing key results. Other times it does include links, but the sources aren’t the right ones, or they don’t point to the correct pages.

Because of that, it can be really hard to find the information I’m looking for, especially when I mainly need the actual website link. I often end up doing a Google search just to find a company’s site. It’s something very simple: if I’m asking for information about Adidas, it gives me plenty of details, but not the Adidas website. It should be easy to include that link, but Perplexity doesn’t consistently surface the official website or the most important pages that Google shows immediately. "Powerful Research Tool with Real Productivity Gains (but Needs Better Stability & Support)"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I use Perplexity AI daily as part of my workflow as a software student and developer, mainly on desktop (Chrome) and occasionally on mobile.

My primary use cases include:

Researching technical topics like REST APIs, system design patterns, and AI concepts

Using the “Copilot” and source citation feature to validate answers quickly

Generating structured notes for subjects like DBMS and Operating Systems

Rapid idea validation when building small projects or prototypes

For example, while working on a PHP-based QR attendance system, I used Perplexity to compare different session management approaches and database schemas. Instead of reading 5–6 different blogs, I got a consolidated answer with sources in under 2–3 minutes.

This has reduced my research time by 40–50% in many cases.

What stands out is its ability to combine multiple sources into a single, readable response with references, which helps me trust the output more than traditional AI chat tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

There are a few consistent issues I’ve noticed:

Some responses can still be factually inconsistent, especially for newer frameworks or APIs

During peak usage times, I’ve encountered rate limits even on a paid plan

Pricing feels high for students in India, especially compared to alternatives

Customer support is slow—I once faced a billing-related query that took several days to resolve Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity's Comet, Delightful Research Browser That Saves Time with Accurate Summaries"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

Using Perplexity's Comet web browser for research is a delight as it saves considerable time over just a search engine. Not only does it make a concise summary, but it also lists all its sources via links. Preplexity's performance as a research/data AI, I think, is excellent. I am using the free version, so the price is right. When I have fact-checked Perplexity's results, it has always been correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I do not have a downside or dislike for Perplexity, but I only use it for research, and I use Galaxy.ai for creating images and videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Instant, Reliable Answers with Effortless Citations"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I like best about Perplexity is its ability to provide concise, well-referenced answers instantly. It combines the speed of an AI assistant with the reliability of real web sources, making it perfect for quick research or fact-checking. I also appreciate its clean interface and built-in citation system, which makes verifying information effortless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I dislike about Perplexity is that it sometimes lacks depth or contextual understanding in longer or more complex queries. While it’s great for quick answers, it occasionally gives surface-level explanations or repeats information from sources without deeper analysis. Additionally, customization options and conversation continuity could be improved to make it more flexible for power users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity Max: Deep Research, Great UI, and Powerful Model Aggregation"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

Perplexity doesn’t just have one model; it works more like a model aggregator with citations, and it almost feels too good to be true when I’m doing research. The Deep Research and Apps feature (it was Labs at first) are really useful, the UI looks amazing, and the latest computer update is what convinced me to get the Max subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

Sometimes the citations aren’t accurate, and since its USP was delivering accurate results, it can end up hallucinating too much. The live data integration also doesn’t make it feel unique anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Source-Backed Answers That Make Research Easy"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

What I like best about Perplexity is that it gives fast answers with sources attached, so I can trust what I’m reading and check it myself. It feels like a search engine and an AI assistant working together instead of making me dig through a bunch of tabs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

What I dislike most about Perplexity is that it can still be shallow or repetitive on harder questions, even when the answer looks polished. It’s great for fast research, but you still have to double-check facts because AI tools can make mistakes or oversimplify complex topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity- Tool to Automate tasks using AI"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

I really like the new conversational style and how well it remembers context across multiple questions. It’s become much better at structuring long, complex answers into clear sections that I can reuse in my work, and the citations make it easy to double‑check key points when I need to share them with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

Sometimes the answers can be a bit too detailed when I just need a quick, two‑line summary, so a clearer ‘brief vs deep’ toggle would help. I’d also love even more transparency on which sources are being prioritised in the citations, especially for news or opinion‑heavy topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity Pro Delivers Detailed, Terrific Results with Smart AI Filtering"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

Perplexity is awesome! It does a terrific job locating and filtering information using the different AI algorithms currently available. You can set up recurring tasks and have it email you results for financial stocks, shopping, or whatever topic you want it to send. The responses are very detailed, and it does an even better job the more information and background you provide. I use the Pro plan and consistently get terrific results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

I’m having a hard time coming up with anything negative. It does a lot of things other tools don’t, and it can either choose the best AI tool for the job automatically or let me pick which one to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perplexity: Stay away, false claims, from 600 deep searches/day down to 20/month!"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

NOTHING!!!

Forget everything I wrote below, it's public nowadays, they changed their policies, they got issues, they put Sam AI Agent to reply to support requests without fixing anything, they reduced the usage to absurd low limits, Deep researches from 600/day down to 20/month!!!! They offered one free year, from their partnerships, then they forced to add a valid payment method to keep the "free trial", yes, they changed the offer to a free trial. And then they banned accounts claiming fake reasons, and leaving no ways to appeal, they destroyed/terminated my account too.

The online documentation hasn't changed, they still claim the same unlimited usage as always, which is misleading.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Perplexity has quickly become my go-to powerhouse for AI-driven research, discovery, and productivity. The range of advanced language models it offers is astounding. I can easily switch between Sonar for deep search and research, or access major LLMs like GPT-5/Thinking, Claude/Thinking, Claude, Grok and Gemini. There are even specialized models designed for quick, focused responses. This kind of flexibility means I always have the right tool, whether I’m diving into a full analysis, brainstorming creatively, or just need a lightning-fast summary.

Perplexity Spaces takes things even further. They let me create, share, and reuse mini apps or workflows for any topic or project. Whether I'm working solo or collaborating with others, Spaces make it easy to generate content, extract data in real time, and conduct interactive research all in one unified environment. I especially appreciate how Spaces foster community-driven expertise and give me the freedom to build tools that are personalized to what I care about most.

The global context Perplexity brings in is another standout feature. It doesn’t just respond to questions; it taps into global news, trending topics, technical documentation, and niche interests from around the world. Endless possibilities for learning and exploration! The mobile app is just as impressive. It’s fast, intuitive, and fully synced with the desktop version, so I can pick up where I left off no matter which device I'm using. I never lose track of conversations, saved insights, or ongoing projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

EVERYTHING IS BAD ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

It’s hard to find complaints with this level of versatility. Occasionally, the sheer depth of options can feel overwhelming, especially with so many models and Spaces to explore. Still, that’s a small downside considering the possibilities it unlocks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best-in-Class Research Assistant with Reliable Sources and Powerful Integrations"
What do you like best about Perplexity?

What I like best about Perplexity is that it references actual sources. Every answer links back to real, verifiable references, essential for combatting AI hallucinations. Combined with live web search and clean, well-structured responses, it's the most useful AI assistant I've used for research with live sources.

The integrations are a plus as well, with connectors for Google Drive, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Teams, Jira, Confluence, HubSpot, etc. I rarely need to leave the platform to pull in context from my existing tools . Performance is also relatively strong. Deep Research helps a lot by reading hundreds of sources and synthesises them into a comprehensive report, and benchmark results back this up .

From a pricing and ROI standpoint, the Pro plan punches well above its weight, offering access to multiple frontier AI models like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini etc, under a single subscription at a fraction of what you'd pay separately or via API. And when it comes to onboarding and support, getting started is genuinely frictionless. The interface is intuitive enough that there's virtually no learning curve . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perplexity?

The main thing I dislike is that the mobile app can feel inconsistent, occasionally slower to load and missing a few features available on desktop, also it can't seem to keep its connection on mobile, requiring a restart to reload content. The conversation memory with the models could also be smarter; it doesn't always retain enough context across sessions, so you sometimes find yourself re-explaining background details you've shared before. On top of that, the context window and reasoning depth don't quite match what you'd get going directly to the base models. It can feel less sharp on complex, nuanced tasks compared to using Claude or GPT natively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
