PayActiv has been a horrible experience for every employee that tried it. Every employee was overcharged and despite weeks of calls and emails, the money has still not been refunded to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Next to impossible to get assistance. Employees have reported rude and uncaring attitude from PayActive employees. These issues occured in July and it is almost September. Everyone says the money will be refunded to them "tomorrow." It's been two weeks of tomorrows and no one has their money back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been using PayActiv for over 3 years now without a single problem. It is absolutely seamless for us, in that it does not cost us time or money. About 20% to 25% of our workforce will use them in any given pay period. I haven't had a single employee ask for an advance on their paycheck since we started using PayActiv. As a user, I can't honestly say there have been many issues with Pay Activ. The mobile app is user friendly and was easy to download and set up. It is convienent and easy to use and gives me instant access to my wages with the click of a button. The fees are reasonable and it has saved me time and money with its accessiblity and ease of use.
As an Administrator, the initial process of setting up and implementing Pay Activ took some work. We ran into some issues with the reports that needed to run for Pay Activ for our employees hours and earnings. But the representative worked with me to fix the issues and it has turned out to be an amazing feature for our employees allowing them access to their wages and saving them money from other high interest options they may have sought out before Pay Active. PayActiv is very easy to use and the employees are always so helpful. The employees are always willing to help and go above and beyond. The amount they charge to access funds is more than reasonable and a lot of employees benefit from their service. It is a great company and I love working along side of them. Shariq has been splendid through our company's journey with PayActiv. He is very responsive and attentive whenever we have issues. When he gave us the training, he was very thorough and detailed on how the process works. He also shared with us the marketing material and where to find everything on the hub. Even after this, whenever we needed assistance with training material and the like, we would reach out to him, and he would point us in the right direction on where to get it. The part about employees being able to get their pay in advance is amazing, as well as, all the features the app and platform offer. During our implementation, our representative at the time Ed Meehan, was slow responding to our inquiries and issues. Sometimes, it would take days for him to get back to us, or he would only get back to one of our team members. We held various meetings with him about the status of the process and in the end, the implementation was delayed by a week because they did not have all the employees in the system yet. Also, as of late, I’ve received emails, out of nowhere, from members of the PayActiv stating they’re in charge of the account and that they’d like to hold a meeting. For me, building a relationship with the company and knowing there’s a go-to person that will quickly and effectively assist me is vital. Having the people in charge of the account be swapped or attempt to be swapped without prior notice to the client is confusing.
