The user interface of Papercut is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to configure settings, generate reports, and manage printing queues. Moreover, the software's compatibility with a wide range of printer models and operating systems ensures seamless integration into our existing infrastructure. It has an awesome customer support. Sometimes I would get lost with all the features it has. However, I think once I am used it, I will be fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It help us to manage the printing credit for all of our staff and also help us save money from printing and photocopying. Since Papercut, we as a school have been saving so much money and we have a total control of budget.
You can use it with Oystercard or contactless card/bank card. Very Easy to use software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The option to arrange/put staff in department other than from AD/Server. I want to be able to create a group of department and put them in group to allow me to give credit at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We started using papercut so we would have a way to control student printing AND provide them with a platform-independent way to print from mobile devices. We later found that Papercut provided us so much more in terms of gaining insights into how and where printing is needed and how to manage our supply inventory. We no longer need a room full of toners just in case something runs out. We get alerts prior to needing toner and ink from our smallest printers to our large mfps. I'm not sure how to answer this. The system is a little more complex than we need and it runs on windows. I guess if it was a stand-alone appliance or a cloud service (how would that work?) so we didn't need to manage windows it would be nice :-). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being a postgraduate student means juggling countless assignments and research papers, and printing is a big part of that. So when I stumbled upon PaperCut at LSBU during my university journey, I had to further interact with the software and I must say it's like having a personal printing assistant right at your fingertips.
What I love most about PaperCut is that I could keep track of my printing usage, set limits on how much I print (which really helped me stay on budget!). As someone who is very conscious of the environment, seeing the impact of every page printed made me think twice before hitting that 'print' button unnecessarily. Not only did it save me money, but it also made me feel like I was doing my bit for the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't think of any downside for now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Papercut excels in its innovative approach. If it's a product or service, the user experience is intuitive, making it accessible to novices and seasoned veterans alike. The design is sleek, marrying form and function in a way that's both pleasing to the eye and practical. If we're talking about a song or album, it's the emotional depth and the intricate layering of sounds that stand out, showcasing a mastery over the medium that's rare and commendable. While it gets a lot right, there are moments where it feels lacking. If it's a product or service, certain features might feel underdeveloped or missing altogether, leaving the user wanting more. What i want is a more user friendly experience and that would make it a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PaperCut is an easy to use print management software, which allows for follow me printing. This is especially useful when in office as you can simply go to the nearest printer and release the print there rather than having to send to one specific device. This saves time as you can avoid queuing at one device waiting for the printout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While PaperCut is predominantly favourable, if there is a poor internet connection this can cause it to be a little too slow at times, which isn't ideal. Also if there is a fault on the device and the printout is mid way through it doesnt appear to be able to be cancelled which is a pain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PaperCut is definately the jewel on the crown with so much flexibility and usefulness in our organization. I appreciate the fact that it's implementation phase was unchallenging and within no time it was up and running without affecting any of our operations. It also seamlessly integrated with our existing infrastructure of tools such a as Xero and Connectwise for even a better flow of business tasks . We also configured it and hooked it on our Microsoft SQL database without hassle and it has been an added advantage in printing forms, queries and tables from database. PaperCut supports all our printers and OS from Windows , Linux , Mac and other platforms. Familiarizing ourselves with it's sleekly organized user interface was a smooth sail. It's interface allow for customization and we have been able to fine tune it to resemble our website. PaperCut delivers a full pack of handy tools that's are accessible from anywhere on browsers because it is a web app which have seen us revolutionarize our bulky printing environment for close to 7 years now. All this time we haven't needed any print servers or client software and we are able to directly print from our authenticated personal devices or the office computers through the print deploy option .The lightweight user client startup program allow us to run the shared network as well as view the balance on the window. Supporting shared accounts has streamlined collaboration and printing task sharing across departments on projects. Everything in PaperCut is centralized so we don't worry about our large organized with multiple servers and workstation because they all communicate and logging and control managed in a very simplified single server. PaperCut has been on the top of our show for years now. We consistently use it on a daily and without any hitches whatsoever given that there is a lot of information available online to refer to in addition to their unrivalled user support we receive from their team. There is always someone on the end of the live chat to reply to all our enquiries. They also guide us on implementation and use of new features once they update. We love it here and couldn't trade PaperCut for anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For our architectural design work, printing design papers is a crucial work since we have to give the construction team clear design layouts for the construction project at hand. PaperCut transformed our printing experience by making it much easier, quick, safe and less costly. First of all the system interface is simple and clearly defined making it so easy to surf through it for everyone. PaperCut has extra powerful security features which makes sure that all the details in our designs remain secure during the entire printing phase. PaperCut support all the devices that we use draw our architectural designs and this allows us to print the designs directly from that device without having to transfer them. We have been getting excellent support from the PaperCut user suppor gurus who always shows great commitment in ensuring we have a very smooth and productive experience with all the PaperCut features available to use. When implementing PaperCut it was good news for us to learn that we did not need to purchase any print server. PaperCut allows us to print all our designs directly from our devices to the printer.
PaperCut makes it easy for us to monitor our printing activities which makes it possible to cut shot on our printing expenditure. It offers excellent reports which shows when printing was was done and what was printed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For the longest period we have been using PaperCut, we have never experienced any challenges at all. It works excellently and the user support gurus ensures that we get to have a very productive experience with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PaperCut has allowed us to limit our student usage of the MFP Fleet and not abuse their priveledges. Previous to having these checks, we would find thousands of sheets of paper in recycle bins adjacent to each device. PaperCut has led to thoughtful and resonable usage of printing by our students, faculty, and staff.
Having the oversight to see problems before they are reported by users also allows us to keep our machines up and running much more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is the logging in process for users when they have an older card. It is truly a "user error," but they complain about the typing process on the screens of the MFP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Flexible
The software offers a wide range of options for print queues, which can be further extended with scripting to encourage / enforce company mandated practices.
Compatible
Our fleet of printers has included a varierty of devices over the years, from a number of different vendors. PaperCut has handled our mixed fleet without issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Price
I can't comment on how the pricing compares to competitor offerings, as it was provided to us as part of the overall MPS package from our service provider. The price component of the contract relating to the software license and support, however, is not insignificant.
Reporting
The reporting / logging engine doesn't track whether prints are duplex or simplex, meaning that tracking usage separately for sides vs. physical pages requires you to make an assumption of what proportion of prints are simplex vs. duplex, meaning that the figures cannot be 100% accurate. This isn't an issue for our use case, but for those who do need this level of tracking, it could present a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
