I really like the ease of integration with public cloud providers such as AWS and MS Azure.
We had a multi-cloud setup at a previous organisation and Palo Alto NGFW made our lives a lot easier.
It's deep threat protection is also something that I consider top notch and with advanced packet filtering, you wouldn't need to invest in a separate sniffing tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's really expensive.
Organisations have to weigh the pro's and cons of the expense and the ROI at a strategic level.
If the organisation has team expertise, then there are suite of applications that can be stitched together to create a holistic security setup for lower costs compared to this solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing I like about Palo Alto Networks Cloud NGFW is deep packet inspection. The traditional packet filtering doesn't contain the feature of checking the body of packet for any malware whereas dpi chceks it with the header. There were cases where that helped us and save us from malware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its expensive, with the document being not that user friendly for novice people. Customer support can be better, has complex configurtions for resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that it is incredible robust & user-friendly, especially for organisations looking to secure their cloud environments. One of the most useful feature is the ability to seamlessly integrate next-generation firewall capabilities into public cloud infrastructure like AWS. Key upsides are -
1) Ease of Deployment & Management
2) Advance Threat Protection
3) Scalibility
4) Policy Consistency across environments
5) Reduced administrative overheads Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Palo Alti Netwroks Cloud NGFW offers excellent security capabilities, few downsides for me are -
1) Costs
2) Getting the most out of advanced features may require additional training
3) In certain high traffic scenarios, there can be occasional latency issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part is warning intelligence as well as it's filtering capabilities! DPI analysis to packet level gives more granularity. The wildfire cloud service helps with warning intelligence. App id helps in block higher risk applications contingent upon behaviour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very expensive, a bit complex configuration, slower customer support and requires lots of resources Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can do anything, and even more.
Defining ACLs with services as "application-default" is a unique and great feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As someone who experienced Cisco's and Fortinet's NGFWs way before Palo Alto, i find it non-intuitive.
Configuring functions by combining building blocks is a great designs, but the way these blocks have to be all pre-defined to be able to put together makes a newcomers job way harder than it should be.
It would be much easier if the choice of creating new blocks on the fly while implementing a function would benefit administartors greatly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best part is the easier implementation of the configuration and ease of use for any additional changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe the customers/clients need to be more aware of the offering. Only after the aws marketplace page I had some confidence from the other end Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the capabilities of securing the customer data in multiple clouds. Its very helpful in multi-cloud deployment.Infrastructure as a code(IAC) support (exclusively Terraform) on these platforms enhances the configuration management and useful to swiftly deploy the implementations easier. The extensive rule set and L4 and L7 filtering helps to stop the attacks in a proactive manner. The extensive documents and easy to use UI capabilities helps in flexibility. Integration support with the different infrastructure components including cortex stack provides comprehensive protection. Furthermore, i appreciate the swift customer support from the expert teams (including customer experience and engineering). I guess easy to terminate improves the frequency of usage of these devices. It can be further enhanced by maintaing a single central manager between different clouds, I would love to see the dockerized containers to be deloyed for production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how it integrates seamlessly with our cloud setup. There is no interruption during use. This always provides relief. Threat detection features are top notch. And the ability to filter traffic by application or URL gives us a lot of control. The management interface is easy to use. So we have to spend time looking for systems. I also greatly appreciate the logging. This makes identifying unusual problems or activity much easier. Overall, this is a reliable tool that helps keep the environment safe. Prices can be more flexible; It’s a bit more complicated, especially for smaller companies. Also, the initial process can be overwhelming for those who have never used Palo Alto products before. It took us a while to get used to the layout options. Certainly some new in-depth tutorials or walkthroughs would be useful for new users to get up to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In case you want to gain more visibility into Azure vWAN traffic, north-south, east-west traffic flow there is no better solutin than PA NGFW because of its ease of use, security aspect, integration with Panorama central management, ease of implementation.
If you ever used any Palo Alto firewall, managing PA Cloud NGFW is no different. With PA cloud NGFW you will get all best of breed cybersecurity features that PA offers. It can be nanaged by Panorama which makes standardization of security policies simpler and easier.
Easlly deployed with few clicks on Azure portal makes it really good solution to integrate within current or new Azure vWAN setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If we add base Cloud NGFW and all add-on which are offered price is high compared to other regular solutions with other VM firewall solutions and VM-300, VM-500. Of course this is not comparable to PA Cloud NGFW which is more like a SaaS solution but compared to pricing and features, price is high. Using PA Cloud NGFW depends on current architecture of a company but we still dont advise our users to use this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I found most helpful is that the next-gen firewall leverages machine learning and AI to detect zero-day threats and APTs. The NGFW integrated seamlessly with our multi-cloud environments. The features of the firewall were very helpful in my work, these features included intrusion prevention, URL filtering, and DNS security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the downsides of the NGFW I found was the complexity of its configuration. setting it up and managing its advanced features can be a little complex and challenging especially to a new grad/intern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
