I love the templates that overleaf offers. Working LaTex is  excruciatingly  difficult  as  it is. Overleaf simplifies it a little bit. Also, most LaTex editing softwares are quite archaic looking. Overleaf's UX  is  quite modern. I love the fact  that  they offer learning material too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like that it does not point to the errors in the document more prominently and simplified. I have to sift through all the red marks on the document to figure which one of it is causing the document to not compile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing which i like about overleaf is the "effectiveness in its simplicity". Literally, on a simple white piece of paper, with only one or two font style and some bondings here and there, it will give the best alignment which you have been looking for. The systematic sections, many users working on the same Latex document from the overleaf,easy to use (like the resources are installed aldready, you just have to write the code!), there are so many benefits when it comes to overleaf. Not many dislikes, but yes, whenever i tried editing my code, well having saved my code 30 min ago, got me worried as internet breakage may cause data loss. Not the fault of the site, but surely we must maintain internet connectivity. Also, we might face complexities in writing the code at the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Easy to collaborate with peers: in-app messaging, version control, no need to pull/push,

- A lot of templates for all my writing needs,

- There is nothing I dislike about it but I would like it more if we can view multiple parts of the document in different tabs/windows. Sometimes I want to compare things and need to scroll! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The track changes function. It's a life-saver to now be able to edit collaborative manuscripts and have the changes tracked. Before I had to export the .tex file to word, track changes there, make changes in Word, then convert back to .tex to comntinue working in Latex. This was a very involved process and lots of things needed to be changed by hand. When Overleaf incproparted the track change feature from ShareLatex, it was a game changer and I now exclusivly work in Overleaf on Latex files, and have the paid version so I can have collaborators on the files and track their changes. Having my Overleaf files saved to Dropbox is the icing on the cake, as that way I have a backup and do not have to trust one cloud service with my important scientific manuscripts - I always have a back up without having to do anything. Can't do latexdiff between two latex files in overleaf, so I haven't been able to see how. So I still have to do that locally, but thanks to the overleaf-Dropbox integration I have the latex files locally and can hence easily run latexdiff from the terminal on files I want to compare and then copile the diff.tex file in overleaf without having to download or upload anything manually. Overleaf is used to create documents using latex here I can created sre with so much ease this platform provides different templates and makes using latex very easy and it also manages our documents history for easy access to them also it's interface is also very user friendly to use as we can see the implementation right away in front of us Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overleaf makes Latex editing, which is pretty tricky, easy to learn and execute. I had to make a resume and a thesis using Latex and didn't have any experience in latex editing, but I didn't face many problems while doing so on Overleaf.
