The program is very comprehensive and yet easy to learn. There are many built in features that help you get exactly what you need. The program far exceeded my expectations. It is compatible with Excel and other workload programs. It can do everything from data analysis to data graphs to more complex graphs associated with techniques such as electrophysiology. I like that OriginPro is efficient for manipulating and analyzing data, as well as assembling plots quickly. The statistical analysis tools are easy to use, and there is a wide variety of functions, such as linear regression analyses or statistical significance tests. I also believe the plotting tools are much neater than Microsoft Excel and final results appear more professional. Although I have not fully explored the wide variety of functions offered by OriginPro, I am aware that it will be useful for more than I expect. I look forward to discovering its features more in depth as I continue to use OriginPro to organize, compare, and present data collected during my research. l Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I still have trouble with keeping my projects and pages organized in OriginPro. I find it difficult to access different parts that I have worked with because each graph, data, and analysis page are separated. If I had comparatively large data sets, I would not use OriginPro because it would be confusing and inefficient to track my data and results. One other downside of OriginPro is that it is only available to download on Windows platforms, so I cannot use it on my Mac laptop, which I use most often for work. It would be wonderful if OriginPro developed a version accessible to Mac interfaces so Mac users can avoid changing their entire computer interface or use a different computer altogether like myself. Most helpful: Knowledgeable and helpful technical staff available for assistance. Willingness of developers to consider additions to software based upon user suggestions. Least helpful: The website is a beast, thus, navigability is difficult. I seem to spend a lot of time searching for "how to" information. Downsides inculde a steep learning curve and navigating the complex GUI. A "cheat sheet" would be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I found several problems when trying to use the option "Data", mainly when using "connect to file" or import files with large sizes. For instance, with excel files or CSV files (above 4 GB). Many times Origin crases itself, and I cannot process the data.
