Opera Software is one of the best tools for hospitality management; with this software, you can monitor and follow the guest journey from the initial request to the final check out and even after checkout. Also, you can meet and exceed guests' desires and expectations; the software efficiently manages all these features. We were using this system for years and still meet our needs and fulfill guests' requests. The support team is helpful and goes the extra mile for your convenience. Reports in the opera system one of the significant advantages and added value; you can generate whatever information you need to assist in your operation, and also, you can customize notifications if required. The Only issue with the opera system that I had experienced the system in two different countries, and I found support team and prices vary from one country to another.

It is a hotel school. This stable PMS is so vast that I have not seen any competitor products coming closer to it in functionality. Yet, the magic is, it can efficiently manage a hotel as small as 16 rooms to the world's largest chain hotels with thousands of rooms. Interconnectivity with third-party products, report accuracy, handling an individual reservation to massive allotment bookings, connecting multiple properties of a single chain or an owner to maximize revenue generation, I think Opera PMS stands out.
Each module within this PMS is very detailed, be it Guest Profile, Reservations, Front Office, Housekeeping, Account Receivable, Group Bookings, etc. And still, each hotel can customize every area to their standard or easy of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Every country has a local office to handle the 1st level of customer support. Most of the time they sort out issues. But rarely, there are issues that need to be escalated to 2nd level of support which may be a regional office or Oracle. There will be some delays.
Like many users said here, the slowness or delay is not purely due to the product. Most of the time it is due to their hotel networks, server capacity, etc that can be sorted out by their IT Managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use while processing my audit is wonderful. It is literally 3 clicks when everything has been processed properly for the day. I worked for motel 6 previously, compared to their proprietary software OPERA PMS it is a huge step up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ease of use of this system. Generally all the functions that one needs to run the hotel are there. There have been few times where I feel I am completely unable to perform the functions of my job due to the lack of options within this software. I also find this program to be fast. The shortcut key options allow you to move around quickly in the program, and load times are generally low. The customizable options are great as well. After having issues with quickly seeing some guest information in the system, our IT manager aided in adding different reports to the program and adding different columns within certain screens. The user interface feels dated and somewhat unintuitive in the placement of items. A believe at least a visual overhaul is due. In addition the program can crash often leading to long guest waiting times. There have been instances of a propertywide crash that resulted in a complete inability to provide service. Opera has been a foundational part of many hotels' success in serving guests. Compared to other property management systems available, Opera is one of the more detail-intensive property management systems. While this can make a steep learning curve, the amount of functionality and making sense of the data is one of the best. Very rarely in the nearly 7 years of experience with Opera have I come to place where it wasn't able to do something to better serve the guest. In the not too distant past, Oracle bought the Opera PMS platform. While the functionality has been improving (such as better integration with outside web platforms), the amount of bug and glitches have also grown. We recently went through an upgrade that would be great but the amount of problems it has created (on things that used to work great) has me regreting updating the system. This system is a next generation system. Some pms systems seem to translate directly from old school pen and paper but Opera creates its own system and encompasses what hotel professionals need today.
