before we used oracle ebs we used oracle - it is not comparable at all however when you get your hints it is easy to use as you can for example not only use an asset ledger but also a project ledger and combine them. Now coming to the functionalities of Oracle EBS, the Oracle EBS financials has seen many major upgrades and transformation over the decades. Oracle ERP runs in java applets but is resource consuming in nature. The legacy on premise version of Oracle ERP application requires several other plugins and software as a pre requisite to run. Oracle application maintenance is very tricky, dedicated data base administrators need to be allocated to maintain, patch and update the application. Oracle on premise software patches can only be applied offline, so there is a considerable amount of software down time. Oracle apps has functions embedded into different menus and sub-menus. I like that there are enough validations , checkpoints and coverage of business processes for each type of job in oracle EBS , i like that there is almost everything available to the users for them to make the product work.

I also like that it requires almost nothing for oracle to run on my machine it is safe to say it is a bare minimum software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I hate the support that oracle provides it is as much as nil in terms of learning in terms of problems.

The only way to solve a problem is to raise a CR and wait for days to get a auto generated reply which is really depressing for someone who is stuck in his work facing the problem.

Second thing i hate is the UI it is 2021 now and oracle is stuck with UI of 1990 , The java forms are really really outdated and looks very ugly almost no body would like to work on them today, newer generation gets turned off from it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Based on my usage, I think its feature of producing the customized report is ideal and helpful to meet the different needs of business individuals. Further, its integration with other business tools helps in monthly reporting and quarter-end reporting to the board of Directors to assist in decision making.
