I liked how this helped our teams to be modular. The dev team could independently work and create fixes. Then tar then up and send them to Test team. Eventually, if everything went right the test team would pass it on to the deployment team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software was massive and depending on the version you are using sometimes it may take time to run. This also was contingent to the system you are using this on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It comes with options for viewing links between the past and the present baselines, making it possible to evaluate the progress over time. This is a very useful tool for seeing the relationship between two or more elements of the project by using snapshots, which are great for establishing milestones. I consider it to be a great SDLC software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s a very complex solution. I took some time to master it and I still find myself struggling with some aspects. I encourage you to be very patient with this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The process is near-about automated. As a developer, all I had to do was build and upload the compressed file. The devOps team would be notified who would complete the required processes. Also, the versions were automatically updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The upload wasn't as quick as I wanted. Also, needed to fill up lots of details. Much of this could be automatically populated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
we use Dimensions every day. I love the requests and cross-project dependency relationships. Basic check-out, check-in, deliver is like every other file repository system along with version control. It also has revision control which is good for multiple users and uploads. I like the comments you can add with updates. I also use the reporting tool ... which after the old-style interface, is easy to use. You can see who did what and update file dates, versions, request ids associated with updates, change history reports, etc. After getting use to the terminology used (slightly different than Team Foundation) and the optional settings and dialogue menus, its a really great tool to have and now I prefer it over Team Foundation. There is hardley any support or blogs online. I wanted to find out quickly how to do something and there is no help ... all the help seems to be on initial setup and user setup ... i am admin on it, but don't have access to config controls, but when I try to look up something, there is no help online.
It's also very difficult to set up server deployment ... Team Foundation is tricky but much easier ... so with Dimensions, we do not use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps with relationship tracking, relationship management, and administrative broadcasting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
