What do you like best about OpenText ArcSight Logger?

Using ArcSight logger is very helpful when integrated with your ESM; in terms of log collection, it comes very handy and is easy to use. It depends upon the requirement whether to go with the appliance or the virtual one, but the performance of the appliance version is excellent, which also comes with 10 GB internal storage. It is easy to implement and integrate with different log sources. The peering function is always useful when we have multiple loggers in place. Easy to create queries and reports. What do you dislike about OpenText ArcSight Logger?

Sometimes the search query takes too long to search the logs if the duration applied is more than 24 hours and if the search is applied on multiple loggers. Sometimes you could face issues while adding new destinations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenText ArcSight Logger solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helps in collecting logs of all devices in one place. All the weekly and monthly reports can be created easily. Log retention for five years makes it very useful to work on historical logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is sluggish and gets down very easily if we work on multiple reports and fetching logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the Out of the box tailoring for environment. Tailoring identifies specific IOCs an analyst needs to look at , reducing false positive alarms . It is highly configurable with builtin filters and connectors to quickly tailor to the environment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With multiple enhancements such as smart reports supporting multiple queries and creating smart dashboard reports , new report chart types such as suburst,funnel, pyramid, treemaps, counter ,gauged and packed circles - the dislikes are none Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
