Opensearch helps in structuring out large amount of unstructured data. Really helpful to query results in a largely unrelated data pool. Also it's integration with Amazon AWS means it's scalable and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have noticed that OpenSearch sometimes suffers from outages or taking long to respond to queries. Also the support is pretty limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AWS has developed this open search tool which brings lot of convience and ease of the use.It can help the users for optimising their application and extracting valuable insights from data .This tool help to maintain the core functionality of elastic search. It also help to provision servers l, configuration of networks , storage. It also helps to deploy the cluster in just few clicks.AWS support also available 24*7 for this. There is some dislike of this tool like as ,you can use max 40 data per nodes per cluster. Also using AWS open search service, you are locking yourself into AWS ecosystem in long term contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its simple UI and easy documentation to follow and migrate from elastisearch to opensearch Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
limited control unlike the self manage elastisearch cluster, costly when we try for larger projects but its has its advantages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OpenSearch's easy integration with AWS is a real breakthrough. It seems like problems as simple as setting up clusters and visualization become easy and fast, taking away countless hours of work and frustration. Learned to develop multiple dashboards, so it was easier to detect the problems and debug the routine activities, resulting in more work done and improved efficiency. And the energy in addition to the consummate power and flexibility of the search engine make it a great tool, executing even the most complicated questions with all ease. Opposed to the other open-source solutions, it blows the budget for the small teams of amateurs or hobbyists. Moreover, I also have to wait for new versions to mature and, sometime, it becomes a pain, especially when I am under a tight deadline like never. My usage of the recommendations depends on the limitations for searchable fields, whereas there are ways to overcame the issues, more searchable field would be a benefit.
